If you want all-day battery life paired with seamless switching between two devices for your laptop, choose Belkin SoundForm Surround; if you need deep bass, active noise cancellation to block the world, and a lightweight build for travel, choose Wentronic Y02.
• Belkin SoundForm Surround: Its greatest strength is the 60-hour battery combined with Bluetooth multipoint technology that lets you jump between your laptop and phone without re-pairing; its trade-off is the lack of adjustable sound profiles or active noise cancellation features found in competitors. This pick is for the professional who needs reliability and constant connectivity for work calls.
• Wentronic Y02: It shines with its active noise cancellation system and five distinct music modes designed to boost bass and clarity across genres; however, it lacks the dedicated multipoint connection feature that allows simultaneous device pairing. This pick is for the traveler or student who wants to immerse themselves in audio and silence distractions on the go.
The Belkin SoundForm Surround Wireless Over-Ear Headphones are built for the person who treats their headphones as a permanent fixture in their daily workflow rather than a casual accessory. The standout feature here is the multipoint Bluetooth 5.4 connection, which allows you to stay connected to two devices simultaneously. In my experience analyzing these specs, this is a game-changer for anyone working from home or in an office setting. You can be listening to a podcast on your laptop while keeping your phone connected in the background, ready to answer a call instantly without having to pause what you are doing or fumble with settings.
The battery life is another massive draw for this specific user profile. With a stated average life of 60 hours on a single charge, you are looking at nearly a week of heavy use before needing to plug in the USB-C charging cable. This isn't just about convenience; it is about peace of mind. If you are someone who forgets to charge their gear overnight or has long commutes where finding an outlet is impossible, the Belkin ensures you never lose your connection mid-meeting or mid-stream. The design also prioritizes comfort for extended wear, utilizing pillowy soft ear cups made of foam and fabric materials that absorb sound and reduce pressure on the head.

However, this product is not for everyone. If your primary goal is total isolation from a noisy environment, such as a bustling coffee shop or a busy airplane cabin, the Belkin might fall short because it does not offer active noise cancellation. It relies on passive noise absorption through the over-ear design and environmental noise cancellation (ENC) strictly for your microphone during calls. Furthermore, the sound profile is described as "signature" with standard dynamic drivers, meaning it delivers quality audio but lacks the customizable equalizer settings or bass-boost modes that some audiophiles crave. If you are looking for sweat-resistant sports earbuds for laptop use, this over-ear design is likely too bulky for high-intensity workouts, making it better suited for stationary or light movement scenarios like commuting or desk work.
The Wentronic Y02 Active Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones are engineered for the listener who demands control over their audio environment and wants a rich, immersive soundscape. The inclusion of active noise cancellation (ANC) is the defining feature here. Unlike passive isolation, this technology actively detects ambient noise across a wide frequency range and works to cancel it out. This makes the Wentronic Y02 an ideal choice for those who need to focus in distracting environments, whether that is an open-plan office, a train commute, or a busy household. The specifications indicate that it effectively suppresses traffic, wind, and crowd noise, ensuring that your music or voice calls remain crisp regardless of the chaos around you.
For music enthusiasts, the Wentronic offers more versatility than the Belkin. It features five different music modes accessible via a simple knob, allowing you to tailor the sound to your genre preference. Whether you are into rock, pop, electronic, jazz, or classical, you can adjust the output to emphasize deep bass, rich mids, or crisp highs. The 40mm dynamic driver with a composite diaphragm is specifically tuned to deliver high-fidelity sound with a bass boost that many users find engaging. Additionally, the fast-charging capability adds a layer of practicality that the Belkin does not explicitly highlight in the same way; a mere 10-minute charge provides four hours of playback, which is perfect for those emergency moments when you forgot to charge your device overnight.
Comfort is also a major selling point for the Wentronic Y02. The use of skin-friendly PU protein leather and high-resilience memory foam ensures that the headphones conform to your ears without causing pressure points, even during long listening sessions. The foldable design makes them incredibly portable, reducing the space they take up in a handbag or suitcase. However, potential buyers should note that while the microphone array is excellent for crystal-clear calls in noisy streets, the absence of multipoint connectivity means you cannot seamlessly switch between your laptop and phone without manually disconnecting one. This makes the Wentronic Y02 best for users who prioritize audio quality and noise isolation over the multitasking convenience of dual-device connections.
• Best for multitasking connectivity → Belkin SoundForm Surround: Only the Belkin supports true multipoint connection, letting you pair with both your laptop and phone simultaneously.
• Best for blocking out noise → Wentronic Y02: The active noise cancellation on the Wentronic actively filters out external distractions, whereas the Belkin relies only on physical fit.
• Best for customizing sound → Wentronic Y02: With five distinct music modes and bass boost options, the Wentronic offers more tonal control than the Belkin's fixed signature sound.
• Best for long-haul travel → Wentronic Y02: The combination of ANC, fast charging, and compact folding design makes it slightly more versatile for moving environments.
• Best for office productivity → Belkin SoundForm Surround: The ability to handle calls on one device while streaming media on another is unmatched by the Wentronic.
• Best for battery endurance → Tie: Both products boast a solid 60-hour battery life, so neither has a clear advantage in raw duration.
• Best for durability of materials → Wentronic Y02: The PU protein leather and memory foam construction suggests a focus on tactile comfort and resilience against wear.
• Best for stability of connection → Tie: Both utilize Bluetooth 5.4 with a 33-foot range, ensuring reliable performance in most home and office setups.
After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I would personally buy the Belkin SoundForm Surround for my laptop setup. While the Wentronic Y02 offers superior noise cancellation and sound customization, the Belkin's multipoint connectivity solves the most frustrating part of modern work: constantly switching audio sources between my computer and mobile phone. For a laptop-centric workflow, the ability to stay connected to two devices at once without interruption is worth more than the extra bass modes. That said, if your priority is escaping a noisy world rather than managing digital connections, the Wentronic Y02 remains a compelling alternative.
Neither model is explicitly marketed as sweat-resistant sports earbuds; they are over-ear designs best suited for general use, commuting, or office work rather than intense athletic activity.
While both feature advanced microphones for clear calls, neither uses bone conduction technology; they rely on traditional dynamic drivers and built-in ENC or multiple mics to filter noise.
Both models offer an impressive 60-hour battery life, so the value depends entirely on whether you prioritize multipoint connectivity (Belkin) or active noise cancellation (Wentronic).
Yes, both units include a 3.5mm AUX audio cable option, allowing you to continue using them in wired mode even if the battery is depleted.
