The Belize Karate Federation (BKF) is the official governing body for all styles of karate in Belize. Founded in 1975 and legally registered in 2009, BKF is a non-profit, independent, and inclusive organization that represents Belize within the World Karate Federation (WKF) and the Pan American Karate Federation (PKF).
BKF promotes the development, regulation, and recognition of karate throughout the country. Our goals are to:
Foster collaboration between dojos, clubs, and regional associations
Promote discipline, sportsmanship, and wellness through karate
Organize national championships and official events
Support Belizean athletes on the regional and world stage
Advance karate's inclusion in the Olympic movement
Uphold the principles of the Olympic Charter and the World Anti-Doping Code

We welcome individuals, clubs, and associations of all recognized karate styles, provided they align with our Statutes and values.
BKF is governed by:
The Congress (our highest decision-making body)
An elected Executive Committee (serving 4-year terms)
The President, Vice President, Vocal, and Secretary General
All leadership positions are held by Belizean citizens and elected democratically. The headquarters of the BKF is based in the district of residence of the current President.
