Belfast City Inclusion kicked off their IFA League campaign at Avoniel Leisure Centre with an afternoon that showcased both resilience and attacking quality across the club’s teams. Despite challenges with availability and several closely fought contests, the opening round underlined the depth and spirit within the squad.
The Juniors faced a particularly testing start, competing with just four players available. In demanding circumstances, they managed to secure one hard-earned victory, alongside two defeats, a creditable return given the lack of numbers and the physical demands of the format. The Seniors, however, enjoyed a far more dominant opening. Both the Seniors A and Seniors B teams recorded emphatic wins in their respective fixtures, setting down an early marker in the league with confident, high-scoring performances.
The Seniors C team were unfortunate not to come away with more, suffering two narrow defeats in games that could easily have gone either way. With fine margins deciding the outcomes, their performances suggested positive results will follow as the season progresses. Overall, the opening round at Avoniel LC provided an encouraging start to the IFA League season for Belfast City Inclusion, with strong team performances and plenty of optimism heading into the weeks ahead.
