Belfast City Inclusion will take to the pitch later this month as they enter the 2025 edition of the Anti-Racism World Cup – their first one-day tournament since the club’s formation earlier this month.
The event, taking place at Donegal Celtic Stadium on Saturday 26th July, is a 7-a-side competition bringing together teams from across the region to promote equality and inclusion, and to send a clear message of zero tolerance for racism in football.
Club coach, Mark Guthrie, said the team was proud to be involved:
“This tournament is about more than football – it’s about standing shoulder to shoulder with others to celebrate diversity and show that discrimination has no place in our game. For Belfast City Inclusion, these values are at the heart of what we do every day.”
The team, established in July 2025 for players with disabilities, learning difficulties and mental health challenges, is continuing to grow and make its mark on the local football scene.
This will be the first tournament outing for Belfast City Inclusion, and players are excited to be part of a day that’s as much about community as competition.
Supporters are warmly invited to come along to Donegal Celtic Stadium to cheer on the team and enjoy what promises to be a memorable day of football and friendship.
