Belfast City Inclusion’s B&C squads produced two impressive comeback victories in recent friendly fixtures, demonstrating resilience and attacking intent across both outings.
On 13 February, BCI overcame Albert Foundry F.C. with a 2–1 win at Dunville Park. After falling behind to an early Albert Foundry goal, BCI maintained composure and gradually asserted control of possession. Matt Feenan levelled the contest with a well-taken finish, shifting momentum in BCI’s favour. With the game entering its closing stages, Paddy Reid struck decisively to complete the turnaround, sealing a deserved victory for the visitors.
The positive momentum continued prior in an earlier second friendly fixture against CSP, where BCI once again had to come from behind to secure a 3–2 win. Fielding their C squad and Juniors, BCI showcased depth and determination, responding strongly after conceding.
Gerard McKenna proved influential, netting twice to drive the comeback effort. His sharp movement and composed finishing brought BCI back into contention and applied sustained pressure on the opposition defence. Patrick Connelly added the third goal, capitalising at a crucial moment to edge BCI ahead and ultimately secure the win.
Across both fixtures, the consistent theme was resilience. Twice facing deficits, the BCI squads demonstrated tactical discipline, patience in build-up play, and clinical execution in decisive moments. The performances underline the development within the C and Junior ranks and reinforce the competitive standards being set throughout the club.
These back-to-back comeback victories provide further encouragement as Belfast City Inclusion continues to build cohesion and confidence across all squad levels.
