These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and the Belaro team (“Belaro,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) concerning your access to and use of the Belaro mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By downloading, registering for, accessing, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Belaro is designed around a simple idea: a person who temporarily needs help caring for a pet may be connected with another person who genuinely enjoys animals and would value a short period of companionship.
Belaro is intended for voluntary, temporary, non-commercial pet care. The relationship between owners and caregivers is not intended to be based on profit, commissions, boarding fees, bidding, gratuities, or other compensation.
Belaro is not a paid boarding marketplace, pet-sales platform, employment agency, broker, insurer, or provider of offline pet-care services. Belaro does not process or facilitate payments between owners and caregivers.
Optional Apple In-App Purchases support digital features inside the app only and are separate from any relationship between users.
Account: A registered Belaro user account.
Owner: A user who creates a Pet Space for a pet they own or are legally responsible for.
Caregiver: A user who creates a Foster Space and may voluntarily provide temporary care for another user’s pet.
Pet Space: A digital space containing pet information, care status, logs, communication links, and memories.
Foster Space: A space created by a caregiver to describe the temporary care environment they may offer.
Pet Passport: Structured information about a pet, including care, personality, diet, restrictions, medication notes, emergency contacts, and photos.
Care Request: A temporary, non-commercial request by an owner seeking voluntary care for a pet.
Daily Log: An activity, mood, note, photo, or other update recorded in relation to a pet.
Memory Card: A digital keepsake created from selected information and media from a completed care period.
User Content: Text, photos, video, messages, profiles, logs, and other material submitted through the Service.
AI Care Insights: Automatically generated informational output based on selected pet information and recent logs.
Coins: Consumable virtual credits purchased through Apple In-App Purchase.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to create an Account, publish or respond to a Care Request, communicate with other users, or participate in an offline pet-care arrangement.
You represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have lawful authority to register, share information about, or arrange care for any pet associated with your Account.
You are responsible for maintaining accurate Account information, protecting your credentials, and all activity performed through your Account.
Notify us promptly at belaro8090@outlook.com if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not create Accounts to impersonate another person, evade enforcement, manipulate requests, or misuse digital benefits.
Owners may create Pet Spaces and Pet Passports containing information that may help a caregiver understand a pet’s needs. Owners remain responsible for keeping this information accurate and current.
If you provide information about another person, including an emergency contact, you represent that you have informed that person and have the authority or permission required to provide that information for the stated purpose.
Caregivers may create Foster Spaces describing their availability, experience, home environment, supported pet types, address, greeting, and safety information. Users should avoid publishing unnecessary sensitive information.
Owners may publish voluntary, non-commercial Care Requests with dates and care notes. Caregivers may review shared information, communicate with an owner, and express interest.
Belaro may provide workflow tools for request, selection, handover, active care, completion, and memory generation. These digital stages do not create an employment, agency, partnership, insurance, or professional service relationship between Belaro and any user.
You may not use Belaro to advertise, request, negotiate, collect, or offer boarding fees, commissions, tips, deposits, reimbursements presented as service fees, or other compensation for temporary care.
You may not use the Service to operate a commercial kennel, boarding business, pet-selling service, breeding business, or paid care marketplace.
Belaro may remove content or restrict Accounts that use the Service for commercial arrangements inconsistent with its mutual-help purpose.
Belaro does not employ, verify, certify, train, insure, supervise, or guarantee owners or caregivers. Users are responsible for evaluating one another, communicating clearly, arranging safe handovers, checking compatibility, and complying with animal-welfare and local laws.
Owners remain responsible for providing accurate health and care information. Caregivers remain responsible for acting within their ability and seeking qualified assistance where necessary.
If a person or animal is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a qualified veterinary professional. Belaro is not an emergency service.
During a care period, caregivers may record activities, moods, notes, and photos. Owners may view updates according to the Service’s access rules.
Daily Logs are communication and recordkeeping tools only. They do not prove that an activity occurred, guarantee quality of care, or replace direct communication where urgent action is required.
The Service may support text, photo, and video messages. Messages and related metadata may be stored and processed to deliver the feature, preserve relevant history, investigate reports, protect users, and comply with law.
Do not use chat to request payment, conduct commercial boarding, harass others, distribute unlawful content, or share unnecessary sensitive information.
Belaro may generate Memory Cards from selected care-period information and media. Users may be able to favorite or delete Memory Cards.
Deleting a Memory Card may not automatically delete an original Daily Log, chat message, or uploaded file unless the app specifically states otherwise.
You retain ownership of User Content you submit.
You grant Belaro a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, adapt, and process User Content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service, including Pet Spaces, Care Requests, chat, Daily Logs, Memory Cards, moderation, and AI features you request.
You are responsible for ensuring that your User Content is lawful and that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit it.
You may not:
Harass, threaten, stalk, defame, exploit, or abuse another user;
Misrepresent your identity, home environment, experience, pet, or care intentions;
Publish false, fraudulent, or misleading Care Requests or profiles;
Upload unlawful, hateful, sexually exploitative, violent, infringing, or deceptive content;
Promote animal cruelty, unlawful breeding, pet trafficking, or pet sales;
Use the Service for paid boarding, commissions, advertising, scams, or payment solicitation;
Obtain or attempt to obtain another person’s credentials, private data, or financial information;
Introduce malware, interfere with servers, evade security controls, or abuse usage limits;
Scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, or automate access except where law expressly permits;
Abuse reporting, blocking, subscription, Coin, or AI systems;
Use AI output for unsafe medical or emergency decisions;
Violate animal-welfare, licensing, vaccination, housing, transport, or other applicable laws.
Belaro provides reporting and blocking tools. Reporting a user may also block that user and may restrict communication or affect an active care arrangement.
Belaro may investigate reports, remove content, limit features, suspend Accounts, or terminate Accounts. Belaro does not guarantee that every report will result in action or that prohibited content will always be detected immediately.
False, retaliatory, or abusive reports may result in enforcement against the reporting Account.
When you actively request an AI analysis, selected Pet Passport fields, recent Daily Logs, and relevant care context may be transmitted to a third-party AI service provider.
AI output:
Is generated automatically;
May be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated;
Is provided for general informational purposes only;
Is not veterinary, medical, behavioral, safety, legal, or other professional advice;
Must not replace consultation with a qualified professional.
You remain responsible for decisions based on AI output. Do not submit information to the AI feature that you are not willing to have processed for the requested analysis.
All digital purchases offered within Belaro are processed exclusively through Apple In-App Purchase. Belaro does not use third-party checkout, credit-card gateways, PayPal, or external payment links inside the app for subscriptions, Coins, or other digital goods.
Apple processes payment using the payment method associated with the user’s Apple ID. Belaro does not receive complete payment-card numbers or Apple Pay credentials.
Belaro may offer Plus and Pro auto-renewable subscriptions. Available plans, billing periods, prices, trial terms if any, and benefits are displayed before purchase.
Benefits may include more daily AI analyses, additional owned Pet Spaces, longer Daily Log access, and other digital features shown on the membership screen.
Payment is charged to the Apple ID upon confirmation. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal may be charged within 24 hours before the period ends.
Users can manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple ID subscription settings. Deleting Belaro or deleting a Belaro Account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.
Coin packs are consumable, one-time Apple In-App Purchase products. Each completed purchase adds the stated quantity of Coins to the user’s Belaro balance.
Coins have no cash value, cannot be transferred between Accounts, do not auto-renew, and are deducted when used for eligible digital features. Consumed Coins are generally not restorable.
Active subscriptions and eligible non-consumable entitlements may be restored through Apple’s standard mechanisms. Consumable Coins are generally not restorable after use.
Refund eligibility and payment disputes are governed by Apple’s policies. Belaro does not directly process Apple payment refunds.
Prices may change in accordance with Apple’s rules. Apple may provide notice or request consent where required.
Belaro may request access to the camera, photo library, microphone, notifications, and other device features when needed for a selected function.
Where applicable, Belaro may present Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before accessing data used to track a user or device across apps or websites owned by other companies. Denying ATT permission does not prevent access to core Pet Space, care, chat, Daily Log, or Memory Card functions.
With notification permission, Belaro may send alerts about chat messages, care-request activity, handover progress, Daily Log updates, account activity, and important service information. Users can change notification settings in iOS.
Belaro and its licensors retain rights in the Service, including software, interface design, branding, graphics, animations, and documentation, excluding User Content.
Subject to these Terms, Belaro grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for lawful, non-commercial purposes.
The Service may rely on Apple services, cloud hosting, databases, media storage, push infrastructure, analytics, crash reporting, and third-party AI services. These services may be governed by separate terms and privacy practices.
Belaro is not responsible for outages or acts of third parties outside its reasonable control.
You may stop using the Service at any time.
You may initiate permanent Account deletion through Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Account deletion is intended to delete or de-identify Account information and associated User Content, subject to information Belaro is required or permitted to retain for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, or legal compliance.
Deleting a Belaro Account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Manage or cancel the subscription through Apple ID settings before deleting the Account.
Belaro may suspend or terminate access where it reasonably believes a user violated these Terms, created safety or legal risk, abused the Service, or engaged in fraud.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” BELARO DISCLAIMS EXPRESS, IMPLIED, AND STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
BELARO DOES NOT GUARANTEE USER IDENTITY, CAREGIVER SUITABILITY, PET INFORMATION, COMPATIBILITY, HANDOVERS, CARE QUALITY, USER CONDUCT, AI ACCURACY, SERVICE AVAILABILITY, OR ANY PARTICULAR OUTCOME.
BELARO IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR OFFLINE CONDUCT, PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, PET INJURY, ILLNESS, LOSS, ESCAPE, DEATH, OR DISPUTES BETWEEN USERS, EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED BY LAW.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Belaro and its team members, affiliates, contractors, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the Service.
Belaro’s total aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount paid by the user to Belaro through Apple In-App Purchase during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD 50, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Belaro from claims, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your User Content, offline care activity, violation of these Terms, violation of law, or infringement of third-party rights.
Belaro may update the Service or these Terms. When these Terms are materially changed, Belaro will update the Last Updated date and provide additional notice where required.
Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the Belaro operator is established, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
Before bringing a formal claim, contact belaro8090@outlook.com and allow a reasonable opportunity to attempt an informal resolution.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without Belaro’s consent. Belaro may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or asset transfer.
The English version is authoritative for international publication. Translations are provided for convenience.
