In each of the Lecture notes series, some of the extensively used references have been cited. I regret that some of the references could not be cited as it is very difficult to trace the original ones.
Through these lecture notes on specific subjects, I have tried to address the topics covered in the prescribed syllabus for the Integrated M.Sc. course in Material Science and Engineering offered at CIPET-IPT, Bhubaneswar and M.Sc course in Applied Physics and Integrated M.Sc course in Applied Physics and B.Tech Applied Physics paper offered at OUTR (Formerly CET), Bhubaneswar and B.Sc and M.Sc courses in Physics offered at M.P.C.
