Modesto's Landmarks, Murals, Parks, and Public Art
Having spent most of my 67 year existence in Modesto, I feel compelled to share some of the things that I feel connected to as a Modestan. I am a product of 13 years as a student at Modesto City Schools and another 2 at Modesto Junior College, and another 24 as an educator here. I feel invested in this community and want to share the wonderful murals, landscapes and parks that make Modesto a community. Quoting from Love Where You Live: Building Emotional Equity in Your Community "Emotional equity is the feeling a community provides for its residents. It’s a sense of belonging, an atmosphere of commonality and the undeniable belief that community is in fact home".
