Assessment
The Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) comes in home and does the assessment. It is one hour long and includes assessing the child on various skills and also an open interview with parents/guardians. Within a few days, the BCBA emails the formal clinical assessment report with list of 8 - 10 suggested programs to start with. Then, all the programs and the ABA binder are prepared, along with all materials, supplies, and activities. All these items are dropped to the home prior to starting sessions. The therapist is also sent the report and programs to review in advance so that he/she is prepared before sessions start.
