We invite submissions related to the incorporation of models of human behavior into machine learning models. Possible topics encompass many fields, which include (but are not limited to):
Alignment: Aligning LLMs and other large-scale generative models with models of human behavior inspired by the behavioral sciences
Evaluation: Evaluating AI systems by incorporating models of human interaction
Computational cognitive science: Incorporating formal models of human cognition into AI systems
Computational creativity: Integrating psychological models of creativity into generative AI systems
Robotics: Enhancing human-robot interaction through behavioral models
Interpretability: Using behavioral models to improve the interpretability of AI systems
Submission: Submissions can be made here: https://openreview.net/group?id=NeurIPS.cc/2024/Workshop/Behavioral_ML. We welcome submissions of original, unpublished material, as well as work that is currently under review (i.e. has been submitted but not yet accepted elsewhere). It is okay to submit a paper to multiple workshops.
Page limit: Papers should be up to 4 pages, excluding references and supplementary materials.
Formatting: Please use the NeurIPS 2024 style files (there's no need to include the paper checklist at the end). New style file
Double blind reviews: Authors should anonymize their submissions to ensure a double blind review process.
Dual-submission policy: Accepted papers will be considered non-archival. We welcome ongoing and unpublished work, and accepted papers at this workshop can be considered for future publication at other conferences. We welcome submissions that are currently under review at other venues, including ICLR 2025. However, we cannot consider work that has been previously published or accepted for publication at any venue.
