1 inch Foam Insulation Board
Tongue and Groove 8 ft Cedar Planks
Acetone

STEP-BY-STEP
Step 1: Cut the foam insulation board to fit between the ceiling studs and install.
Step 2: Screw 1 1/2”x 3/4” furring strips into the metal studs.
Step 3: Cut the cedar planks and secure to the furring strips.
Step 4: Wipe the cedar boards with Tung Oil.
Step 5: Measure and cut the metal trim for the ceiling.
Step 6: Wipe the metal trim with acetone.
Step 7: Paint the metal trim with a primer and then spray paint.
Step 8: Screw the bottom of the metal trim onto the top of the wall.
TIPS & TRICKS
Leave ½” channel between furring strips to allow for your wiring.
Drill pilot holes in the furring strips prior to screwing them into the studs to prevent splitting.
For quick installation and smaller holes in the wood, use a staple gun to secure the cedar planks.
Offset the cedar plank seams for structural integrity and aesthetics.
Cut the holes for your lights and pull the electrical wire through as you install the cedar planks.
Cut the metal trim and drill pilot holes prior to painting it so the paint does not have any chipping or scratches.
