.befair is a zero waste event, so please also be mindful of your mode of transport.
The Yarralumla diplomatic precinct is a nice area to cycle to on a sunny day, or try an e-scooter as an alternative.
The Belgian Embassy is a short stroll away from bus stops Hopetoun Cct before Schlich St (when catching the 57 Woden bus) and State Cir after Melbourne Av (when catching the 59 Woden bus).
There is no parking available on site and only limited street parking. Please respect our neighbours and make sure not to block their driveways.
.befair is an outdoor event, so please come prepared
We're heading towards the end of May and Canberra weather this time of year can be anything from sunny and warm to freezing and wet. We'll have fire pits set up to help you warm up, but besure to keep an eye on the forecast and dress to the conditions. Please make sure to watch children around the fire pits!
.befair is accessible
Although most of the venue is easily accessible, some small borders (5cm) are present around the lawns, picnic area and stage area. Some areas, e.g. beehive tours and movie screening have steps, but are accessible via an alternative entrance. The Embassy grounds are located on a sloped block, so an elevation difference is unavoidable. Feel free to contact us beforehand or on the day if you have any questions.
.befair is a pet friendly event
You may know we have alpacas and an Embassy dog. We love our furry friends at the Belgian Embassy and welcome yours at this event if they're sociable and handle crowds and excitement well.
