Bees Without Wings works with the Trinity Community Children Home Society (TCC Home) in Malaysia to reach disadvantaged children and provide them with the necessary academic and social success tools. The inspiration for our name, "Bees Without Wings," comes from our understanding that bees are dedicated, hard workers, and unified team players. Bees are highly dependent on their wings to assist in their pollination work to give back to their community; a bee without wings or with an injured wing cannot survive on its own for long. Children that become orphans are like bees that have been deprived of their "wings" — their tools to success — but with the proper funding and support, they can find their wings and "fly." Then they will be able to give back to their communities as well.

This nonprofit seeks to create greater awareness in Taiwan of our Southeast Asian neighbors by contributing in various ways to their wellbeing. Taiwan is a relatively developed nation with growing economic, social, and cultural connections to Southeast Asia. During the worldwide pandemic, we became more aware of the difficulties faced by the migrant laborers who come from Southeast Asia for work in Taiwan. Many of them were unable to return to their homelands due to closed borders. On the other hand, those who managed to return to their home countries faced economic difficulties when traveling back into Taiwan.

As high schoolers in Taiwan, we often take for granted much of our good fortune, especially during the pandemic, which has not hit Taiwan as hard as other countries. While we feel compassion for impoverished children without parents, we could never understand the burden of their hardships and the daily courage of their lives, so we feel the need to contribute in some way to lessen their troubles.

Trinity Community Children Home Society (TCC Home) is a sanctuary for orphaned, abandoned, battered, abused, and neglected children. Their main goal is to provide care and hope for young children and those in their early teens. They wish to nurture and strengthen these children through practical programs.

The TCC Home supports children with educational needs by providing online school. They also offer children other talent classes: baking, cooking, and music. They aim to build a foundation for the children, so they are able to further their studies and have the ability to take care of themselves.
