Please see the images on the left from the HOSTING experience that our Hoosier teachers experienced from January 31 - February 12, 2019. Brazilian teachers stayed in the homes of our participating Indiana teachers and they went to school with their hosts as well. The Brazilian teachers engaged in conversations and led presentations for students in classrooms. In their free time, our Hoosier teachers showed their Brazilian counterparts many sights, shared recipes and did plenty of shopping!
The Hoosier teachers traveled to various cities throughout the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. They were hosted by their same Brazilian counterpart and visited many schools where they spoke with students and shared their language and culture. The Hoosier teachers ate extremely well, saw many sights and were able to experience a very different rhythm of daily life. These are relationships and memories that will last a lifetime!

I know that teachers do not have that much money, but money is not as important of the treasured life-time memories and new friends you will create from this experience! You will never remember how much money you spent during this program, but you will always remember the laughs, the goofy experiences, and the tender hugs that are given. Sincerely, do not hesitate, do not waiver, you will love every moment of it!
