The Behavioural Dimensions of Climate Change workshop took place on 7–8 May 2026 at the Department of Economics, University of Bologna, bringing together an international group of researchers working at the intersection of behavioural economics and climate policy.
Across two days of sessions, a keynote lecture by Karine Nyborg, and a lively poster session, we discussed how beliefs, expectations, coordination, fairness, credibility, and collective action shape the low-carbon transition. The programme combined theoretical, experimental, survey-based, and empirical perspectives, allowing for a rich exchange across methods and disciplines.
The workshop was also an opportunity to connect the agendas of the BELIEFS and GREEN TIPPING projects, with a shared focus on how behavioural insights can help explain climate action and inform more effective policy.
