Hello, I am Beebidy !

My real name is Bassam BACHABI, and my greatest passion is drawing. I craft stories intended for publication as comics or animations. My aspiration is to be acknowledged one day as the "Beebidy, the African Walt Disney."

I live in Benin, specifically in Cotonou, since childhood. Following my baccalaureate, I pursued naval officer training in Dalian, China, a four-year endeavor. Subsequently, I undertook a professional internship in Brest, France, broadening my horizons and exposing me to diverse cultures.

Concurrently engaging in freelance illustration on online platforms and social media, I also serve as a naval officer. This occupation has imbued me with a breadth of experiences encompassing management, personnel oversight, autonomy, initiative, collaboration, as well as knowledge pertinent to the maritime realm.

My drawing style, notably influenced by manga, is currently exemplified in a manga series called Drestia. Furthermore, I create illustrations and portraits in my own personal style, frequently shared on my social media (listed below).

In addition to drawing, I pursue photography and animation, either driven by inspiration or commissioned by clients.

I usually work digitally on iPad Pro and PC, leveraging software like Procreate, Sketchbook, and notably, Clip Studio Paint, for both illustration and animation. Nonetheless, I am exploring alternative software such as Blender, ZBrush, Maya, Photoshop, Nomad, Forger, among others.

Presently, I am seeking training in 2D/3D animation to enhance my professional skills, establish an animation studio, and bring forth both my own narratives and those of fellow African creators.
