Hi Y'all!

My name is Aryn Sweeney. I was born and raised here in North Texas! My husband and I have been blessed with three wonderful boys. Together we camp, hike, bike, sing songs, play music, and read! I have had the honor of teaching all three of my boys to read. I am certified in the Science of Reading and have lead over 1,000 virtual tutoring sessions with students in school districts across the nation. I have seen first hand the incredible impact 1:1 Phonics instruction can have on students from all different backgrounds. I am eager to bring my experience to students who may not have access to private tutoring or phonics instruction through their school district. It would be my honor to help your child establish the bedrock upon which they will build their knowledge for decades to come! Let's get reading!

Method

Here at Bedrock Reading I utilize a carefully curated set of time tested materials and exercises to help students reach their reading goals. While learning phonetic decoding is the basis for all our work, we will also emphasize automaticity to build proficiency and confidence. Your student will work on decoding text and practice speed drills as well as spelling rules that reinforce their phonics lessons. My practice is exclusively virtual, however, I value analog work, especially for students. Your student can expect to utilize white boards to practice hand writing and participate in other kinetic activities that will help them retain the information presented on screen.
