Welcome my web page!
I am the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Resident Representative in The Gambia.
I bring a wealth of international experience in macroeconomic policy, fiscal reforms, and economic surveillance across advanced, emerging market, and low-income economies. Prior to my appointment, I served at IMF headquarters in Washington, D.C., holding Economist positions in the Fiscal Affairs and European Departments and working on countries including Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, and Niger. Throughout my IMF career, I have played a key role in economic surveillance and IMF-supported programs, working closely with national authorities to design and advance critical macroeconomic policies and far-reaching fiscal and structural reforms.
My professional career also includes positions at the IMF's Independent Evaluation Office, the French Treasury's Regional Economic Office in Côte d’Ivoire, the Institute for Economic Analysis in Barcelona, Spain, and Côte d’Ivoire's National Institute of Statistics.
Alongside my policy and operational experience, I have conducted extensive economic research, including on tax administration, tax policy, public finance, financial crises, intergenerational mobility, debt restructurings, financial crises, and poverty. I hold a BA in statistics from ENSEA-Abidjan, a BA in economics from University Clermont Auvergne–CERDI, and a PhD in economics from University Clermont Auvergne – CERDI.
Apart from my main fields of interest, I am passionate about geopolitics.
