Al -Walaja

Al-Walaja is a small village tucked away in the West Bank, often overlooked by travelers and historians alike. Yet, this village holds a unique place in the region’s history and culture. Village of Battir a neighbouring palestinian village that is close to Bethlehem. The stories of the two villages are very similiar. Two villages in West Bank facing significant pressure from Israeli Settlements. (Centre, n.d.)

English: “They left neither tree, nor stone, nor person.”
Meaning: A strong expression used after demolitions or destruction, meaning that everything was damaged or affected.
