BCTMB is the highest level of voluntary certification a Massage Therapist can receive. When I was initially Certified it was required in some states to obtain a license, including Louisiana, where I completed my initial training. To maintain Board Certification, I complete over 24 hours of continuing education every two years, which allows me to keep up with the latest scientific research in the field of massage. Though it is not required in California, I have chosen to maintain certification continuously since 2002. Note: California does not offer a state license, and at the time of my initial certification also did not offer a state certification. California Massage Certification is voluntary and in many cities, including Ojai, is not required to practice massage. (Requirements for Massage Licenses are typically fewer than State Certifications.)

I've been a massage therapist for 10 years and have only met a handful of therapists who have the experience and intuition to deliver the exact type of therapy at the perfect amount of pressure, and she's super friendly to top it off!
If you're looking for a therapist who is serious about her work and will leave you feeling like you actually received therapy (vs just a relaxation massage) then Becca is the go-to person. Some therapists just dive in and go deep, but Becca understands how muscles work and will deliver whatever level of pressure is comfortable for you.
