There are quite a number of amazing jewelry pieces in our world today. Ranging from pearls to beach stone, beads, and the likes. However, some of the coolest pieces of jewelry you'd find are often made with leather.
No matter how loud you like your jewelry piece, whether you want to make over-the-top jewelry or simple plaited bracelets, there is always something for everyone when it comes to making jewelry with leather elements.
Therefore, if you'd love to own a beautiful accessory(s) for the new year, stay tuned as we'll be showing you how you can make embroidered leather cuff bracelets. Let's begin!
First, we'll start by listing a few items needed to make the perfect bracelet for your wrists.
● Piece of tanned leather
● Leather hole punch pliers
● Eyelet and eyelet pliers
● Market
● Scissors
● Thread and needle
● Beads and cord
● Leather finish
● Edge dye (this is optional)
Here is a step-by-step method on how to make your leather cuff bracelet.
Have a design. There are several bracelet designs available. Just choose what leather cuff bracelet design you'd like to own and have it crafted on a printed template. This will help form the basic shape of your cuff.
Measure the size of your wrist. You wouldn't want to make a bracelet that drops from your wrist. Therefore, ensure that the tape is as correct as possible and close enough to your palm.
This measurement will correspond to the upper edge of the trapezoid in your design. After which, you measure your wrist about 4-5cm up your arm (away from your wrist). This measurement will correspond to the lower edge of the trapezoid in your design.
Place your leather on a working surface with the right side up. Transfer your cut-out pattern over the leather and cut nicely. Remember to align the lower edge of your leather piece with your cut-out pattern.
Next, you go over your design on your cut-out pattern with a fine tip marker. This will make your designs more visible on the leather, help with embroidery, and the closing of the bracelet.
Now you embroider your leather. Although, embroidering your leather isn't much of a big deal though. First, you'll need to be sure your beads can pass through your needle. Then you can start your embroidery.
Pass one bead at a time through your needle. Note that: you can use similar beads or not, to represent the different sizes of your designs. Just follow through with your template and you'll be good.
However, if you feel you're not up to making your bracelets yourself and would rather prefer to buy, not to worry as beauty in stone jewelry has got you covered. We make all sorts of jewelry that you'll love.
