Beauty All Around Us

What a grand adventure life can be with beauty all around us.  

Just walking through a nature preserve or a city park can present you with beauty, specifically if you search out the flowers.   Even the flowers outside this very building are a source of joy and inspiration.  The Artwork I have created is my attempt at sharing these moments.  I am saying, “Look at this, see this beautiful flower, see these beautiful colors.”

In preparation of this show, while creating these pieces,  I have been interested in playing. Playing as in making art for the fun of it.  After taking many classes and getting better at creating realistic art, last year I checked out a book from this library that encouraged me try a more loose style.

All of these pieces have been made using Acrylic paint and some are Mixed Media with the added layering in various papers and pencil markings.
