Joking aside... I like to dedicate more time to photographing the bride. Of course, we discuss your wedding photography in the planning stages. If you like, I will give the same amount of time to both of you. However, in my experience, the groom is happy with a little less attention. Besides, getting the bride ready does naturally take longer.

I see so many photographers putting photos of brides in the very early stages of their preparations on their galleries. I don't like having my photo taken when I am not ready, so I don't want to take yours until you are ready. How would you like me to portray you? I like to create beautiful, stylish emotional portraits of you looking great.

I said before, during the planning stages, we will have made a plan for the photography. Most brides prefer me to start photographing once they are in the wedding dress, covered and decent - no nudity. This means there are no uncomfortable moments prior when people are in their underwear. Of course, if you have no issues with it and would like photos prior you would have let me know during the discussions about your wedding photography.

Once you are in the dress and wearing all your accessories you may want to take some photos with the people present, you may also want to have a toast and glass of prosecco or champagne. The fun and excitement as you and your bridesmaids open the bottle and all have a drink (in matching elegant glasses), creates some natural interaction and is a wonderful moment to photograph. Moreover, it's probably time for a little drink too!

I need to photograph both the bride's preparations and also the groom's. Neither of you will be aware of what the other is doing during their preparations. By having photographs of the preparations you will be able to relive the time you are apart, the laughs, the tears and all the other beautiful moments. The bride getting ready photos should be stunning photos that document a very important moment... you are putting on your wedding dress and this means we are about to go to the wedding ceremony!

Kiara chose a lavish gold lehenga for the occasion, and Sidharth donned a black, gold and white embroidered sherwani. The photos show Kiara dancing the night away with Sidharth, who couldn't take his eyes off his most beautiful bride. The couple even hugged in a few images and had a blast. Meanwhile, Sidharth Malhotra complemented his bride in a black pinstripe-printed button-down kurta featuring full-length sleeves. He layered it with a black bandhgala jacket decked in gold floral brocade embroidery, open front, and full sleeves. Lastly, white pyjamas, dress shoes, a side-parted sleek hairdo, and a clean-shaven look rounded it all off.

Also want to say, even though I'm sure you've heard it already, you are so much more than a number on a scale - I hope you're able to find your confidence again with or without the "extra" weight. I'm sure you were a beautiful bride.

Good, I'm glad it was helpful! I was just thinking too, any time you see a photo from your wedding that you DO like (and I'm confident many more are coming when your professional photos come back!), can you save them in a folder on your phone or put them together in a montage that you can go back to anytime you need to be reminded of how beautiful you really did look that day? I've always had issues with the way my face looks from certain angles (just posted about this on another board the other day!), and sometimes it helps me to just set the "bad" pictures aside and focus on the "good" ones as much as I can. My therapist also reminded me that sometimes a photo is just an awkward freeze-frame in time, LOL - like when you pause a movie and suddenly this beautiful actress is making some contorted face because she was talking or something. But in real life no one saw unflattering freeze-frames of you on your wedding day - they saw you moving around, talking and dancing and laughing and probably looking really freaking happy! :-) So, try not to be too hard on yourself if some of the freeze-frames don't look the way you'd want them to. I'm going to try to remember that for myself!

What if instead of focusing on getting the perfect pictures of you in your dress, you spoke with a therapist about finding ways to appreciate your wedding day and not focus on how you looked in the dress, but how you felt that day and the love you shared? You did so well noting all of the stressors you were dealing with; a therapist could help you find peace and ways to give yourself credit for surviving all of that AND planning a wedding. Please consider. You deserve to feel beautiful inside and out.
