Become a Garden Angel
The Beausejour Daylily Gardens has over 40 volunteers, or Garden Angels, who ensure their section of the Gardens is maintained to official display garden standards. We always have openings for Garden Angel volunteers. Email Beausejourdaylilygardens@gmail.com and join today.
Volunteering at the Beausejour Daylily Gardens Matters
Volunteering at the BDLG isn’t just about helping a garden-it’s about learning, connecting, and improving your well-being while supporting one of Manitoba’s most beautiful community spaces.
Learn and Grow Your Gardening Knowledge
When you volunteer, you gain hands-on experience with an extraordinary collection of plants. We have a pretty amazing collection of Daylily cultivars, Irises, Lilies, Peonies, Ornamentalshrubs and trees, and other perennials. Master Gardeners are always available to answer your questions, share tips, and help you learn more about plant care, hybridizing, and gardenmaintenance.
Connect with a Wonderful Community
Volunteering is a great way to meet people, make friends, and feel part of something meaningful. Every October the Friends of the BDLG’s host a Volunteer Appreciation Event. Each year, two volunteers are awarded a double fan of the Beausejour Angel’s Reward Daylily or a single fan of CarolBender Daylily- two prestigious cultivars exclusive to the BDLG and never sold to the public. It is a true honour reserved only for our volunteers.
