RWBY

Being a long time fan of the RWBY franchise, I decided to try my hand at creating my own characters set in the RWBY universe using the intricate worldbuilding and soft magic system the show provides.

A friend of mine also created an alternate universe where a single character's decision changes the course of the entire story and I wrote a piece from that character's perspective in the alternate world. The piece was one of my various forays into a more emotional style of writing, as compared to my previous action-focused pieces.

A piece set in an Alternate Universe where Ozpin has been overthrown by Salem and resorts to unethical methods to regain his power.

Genshin Impact

After falling deeply in love with the lore of Genshin Impact, I tried my hand at creating characters of my own and setting them in the world of Genshin Impact. Although two of them originate from a region that has not been released in the game yet, I used the various bits and pieces of information gathered from in-game lore to craft my vision of what the region is like and used that information to give form to my characters.

I also participated in a fan magazine aka a zine where a group of writers and artists alike who had created their own OCs set in the world of Genshin Impact came together to create a zine showcasing each other's original characters.

Fire, Ice and Wind

The zine piece I wrote for Distant Legacy: A Genshin OC Zine, where my OC Jia Ying explores a ruin with two other OCs - Qifang and Qingshu.

Marvel

As a long-time fan of the Marvel movies and comic books, it was only a matter of time before I created my own OC and inserted them into the universes. Marvel Rivals also helped with rekindling the passion and love I had for the franchise.

My OC does not gave a name as when I write them, I try to make the character as much of a self-insert character as I can, thus when characters in the story call the reader by their name, it's written as Y/N which stands for "Your Name". However, they do have powers, some personality and a romantic interest (Bucky Barnes) so that the self-insert feels believable rather than a soulless cardboard cutout.

The Hunter series is the first series I've written, although each individual story does not take place immediately after the previous one in the timeline. I incorporated the reader into the various Marvel movie's events and changed the story to fit this new character I have inserted.

Memories

Set during Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the Winter Soldier meets reader again and remembers who they are.

Tired Love

Bucky comforts reader and cheers them up on the anniversary of their mother's death.

Night Time Shenanigans

Reader goes to the kitchen for a late night snack and bumps into Bucky.

The Hunter

Set during The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, reader accompanies Zemo, Sam and Bucky to Madripoor to obtain information pertaining to the Super Soldier Serum.

Loss

After the events of The Hunter, reader struggles to cope with being alone again and finds a new direction in life.

One More Time

Set around Thunderbolts (this was written before the movie hit cinemas), Bucky goes back to Madripoor in hopes of finding reader and setting their relationship straight.

Return of The Hunter

After the events of Avengers: Infinity War, reader struggles to cope with losing Bucky to the Snap. Captain America and Black Widow are tasked with recruiting reader to help them retrieve the Infinity Stones from the past.

Time Heist

Set during the events of Avengers: Endgame, the sequel to Return of The Hunter sees reader working with Captain America to retrieve the scepter which contains the Mind Stone.

Morning Cuddles

Set between Avengers: Endgame and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Morning Cuddles shows a snippet of Bucky and reader's lives in the morning.

Idiocy

Reader walks into a trap and only gets out alive due to Bucky's timely intervention.

Reflection

Reader meets The Winter Soldier for the first time and finds something unexpected.

First Mission

Reader and The Winter Soldier go on their first mission together.

Feral

Bucky has been kidnapped and the reader goes all out during the rescue.

Chase

Set during the events of Captain America: Civil War, reader and Bucky flee from the Bucharest police.

The Void

After the events of Thunderbolts*/New Avengers, Bucky encourages reader to talk about their experience in The Void.

Overwatch

After a friend of mine introduced the game to me, I've been playing it almost every day and have been enjoying myself immensely. What really intrigued me was the world the game is set in, the various factions that vie for control, and how each character fit into the bigger picture. My favourite thing to do in-game is listen to the many voice lines in the spawn room, seeing how each character interacts with the others and learn more about them. It didn't take long for me to begin writing my own Overwatch fics, and I soon found myself in the rabbit hole that is Overwatch lore.
