Naked Bulb returns to The Beast this Saturday! It's a virtual sit-in to celebrate our beloved Bay Area crawl. This year we're proud to spotlight some of our favorite poets as they share some of their favorite poems, all published or soon-to-be-published by Naked Bulb Press!

We'll start with some wonderful music by the always amazing Iwalani Venerable followed by our reader lineup:

* Andrew J. Thomasis the author of 6 volumes of poetry, for adults and children. Most recently, he released "Pre-Medicated: Pills, Poems & Ponderings," published by the Naked Bulb.

* E. Lynn Alexander is a poet, artist, and small press editor/publisher whose most recent venture includes Collapse Press and The Friday Collapse reading series. Her book of poems “The Shouldspeak Disease”, exploring shame and should language, was published by Naked Bulb Press based in Oakland, CA. For that, she is grateful.

* Gary Turchin is the author of 6 volumes of poetry, for adults and children. Most recently, he released "Pre-Medicated: Pills, Poems & Ponderings," published by the Naked Bulb.

* Ruth Crossman writes poetry and prose on a range of topics, from the gritty to the surreal. She’s written pieces about harm reduction and nazi punks for Broke Ass Stuart and Maximum Rock n Roll, flash fiction about aliens and doppelgängers for The Fabulist, and memoirs about rock n’ roll and heartbreak for Litro UK. Her first chapbook, All the Wrong Places, will be published by Naked Bulb in February 2022.

* Iowa born poet G Macias Gusman sings Black Sabbath songs in the shower and has seen four ghosts, ten US Presidents give up on America. Two UFOs, his work published, the birth of punk, disco, rap; the death of Common Sense. He has Learn public speaking on the fly and almost sold his soul to the devil, but ended up pawning it to god in exchange for becoming a poet. So, there are poems to write and read aloud. G says he still believes in the human spirit even if Humanity doesn't quite believe in him, yet. But we do. Everyone loves an underdog and a sad story and like Bigfoot, Free Love, Planet X, G Macias is quickly becoming legend, myth, and innuendo. If you thought Elvis: Aloha from Hawaii via satellite was cool in ‘73, then check out G. Macias Gusman live from Oakland in 20-21 when he brings his “A” game for you to smile.
