A: We currently operate as an online bakery, Beary Bears Bakery and Gift Shop, with pre-order pick ups only. Everything is made to order, which means that we do not carry a daily display case for walk-ins. We often have a variety of treats and cakes that you can call ahead to order with about an hour's notice.
Q: How do I place a custom cake order?
A: Please send an email to Bearybearsbakery@gmail.com. It's important that your inquiry includes the following details: inspiration pictures, how many people you would like to serve, flavors, date, message, and your phone number. Providing as much information as possible will allow us to quote you quickly and accurately. We do not take custom cake orders over the phone. For custom cake orders please send us an email or fill out the questionnaire. A 50% deposit is required to confirm your order into production.
Q: I just want a simple cake! How far in advance should I order?
A: We feature a variety of original and trending cakes on our website for pricing and design ideas. All orders must be confirmed via email or phone. On occasion, we bake extra treats and post them for immediate sale—call the shop at (647) 474-4697 for availability.
Q: How far in advance do I need to place a custom cake order?
A: The required notice depends on our current booking schedule, which can vary from a few weeks to several months, especially during holidays. We recommend submitting your custom inquiry email as early as possible. Once an email has been replied to, your order will be put in queue so long as your order date is available.
Q: Where are you located?
A: Our dedicated pickup location for Beary Bears Bakery and Gift Shop is 1681 Windsor Ave. We are a pre-order bakery only, so this location is for scheduled order pickups.
Q: When can I pick up my order?
A: Confirmed orders can be picked up on Mondays through Saturday. If you’ve placed a custom order, a specific time will be confirmed within your email correspondence. If you need to change your pickup time, please call the shop at (647) 474-4697 during our call hours (9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Saturday) and we will do our best to accommodate the change.
Q: Do you offer Vegan desserts?
A: We do not have a vegan option at the moment, but we may add vegan options in the future!
Q: Do you offer Gluten Free desserts?
A: We DO NOT offer gluten-free options at the moment. Our facility regularly uses wheat flour and other flours, so we can never 100% guarantee that there are no traces of gluten for those with severe allergies.
Q: How do I take care of my treats before the party?
A: Your cakes and cupcakes are made with a light and airy whipped cream frosting, which is temperature sensitive! They must be refrigerated at all times.
Storage: Always keep cakes and cupcakes in the fridge until just before serving.
Serving: For the best taste and structure, remove the treats from the fridge no more than 15-20 minutes before you plan to serve them. Do not leave them out at room temperature for extended periods.

Q: Can someone else pick up my order for me?
A: Of course! You may send someone else to pick up your order, but please make sure they know the correct name the order was made under or the order # that was received in your confirmation email.
