Mid Lengths are best when wave conditions are smaller (2-5 ft) and waves are a more flat. I recommend something about 18" taller than you.

 This model is designed to paddle in easy, go down the line fast, and rip turns.

The Mid length is kind of a stretched out Groveler, which makes it ideal in waves that don't have steep pockets. I kept the noes sharp and pulled in so it does have too much swing weight on turns. The tail is round and simple to provide a good balance of stability on the rail as well width to plane down the line effortlessly. Because of the tail stability and need for speed, I recommend it as a twin fin setup for less drag, but 3 fins are fun too and make it extra drivie through turns.
