We have tried other products but have settle on one.

Beard Oil

Beard oil is mistakenly used for your beard's hair but usually leaves it with a geasey look and feel. Theres another product to moisturize and help treat the dry facial hair call butter, more on that later.

What does beard oil do?

Beard oil is actually to help moisturize your skin as beards tend to pull or use most of your natural oil secretions at the skin level on your face, thats why your beard itchs, its dry skin and can get flakey. The hair of beards generally contain thicker hair cuticles than the hair on the top of your head so they dry out quicker, scalp hair may be straight, yet beard hairs grow thicker and curly because of this they need more oil and if not then they dry out quicker and pull from the moisture of the the skin around them, giving you beard itch.

Beardruff

Is just dandruff on or in your beard

Cause by your beard hair drawing all the sebum oil from your face, giving you very dry skin underneath that beautiful beard. Using a oil helps to replenish the natural sebum oil.

How to use beard oil

Add a few drops to the palm of your hand and apply to the itchy areas of your face ,the jaw line, the chin, wherever your beard tends to itch. Massage it into the skin in these areas, remember this is not about adding it to the hair but to the skin on your face to help prevent the skin being dried out from the hair itself and to help stop the itch. I personally do not rub my palms together as many do but rather use my fingers dipped in the oil that is in my palm, and push or massage it into my facial skin, seems easier to me to apply this way and I can target the itchy areas but whatever/however it works for you, the main reason is getting rid of the beard itch. I use this after my shower (towel dry beard first) and if later in the day my beard starts to itch then I apply more to those areas. I can say that nagging issue is kept at bay using a quality beard oil.

How much beard oil to use?

Most use too much oil, the oil will set ontop of the hair shaft like a barrier the idea of soaking in is not really happining, its like pouring oil on your hand and it nevers soaks in and just leaves a greasy spot.Thats what happens with beard oil applied the wrong way like to the hair shaft... greasy. George Bruno the Sultan of Silver (you need to see this guys beard),says most overuse oil. He trims apx.30 beards per week and knows. However if your going to be eating BBQ ribs and have big mustache apply alittle oil before you go out to dinner.Use the coating ability of the oil to help repeal the stain from the sauce, it easier to clean up your mustsace as the sauce tends to just sit ontop of the oil, that you have applied before you eat, otherwise it can soak in and stain your beard. You dont want to look like a vampire with all that red sauce stain around your mouth. Depending on how much beard itch you have some only need a few drops others like myself use several. Use enough to stop the beard itch.

Beard Balm VS Beard Butter

What does Beard Balm do?

Beard balm sometimes called beard butter depending on which company/product. Balm if you keep a shorter beard, balm is most likely what your looking for it works good to keep short hairs in place,it can help to "tame" it.If you do try it on longer beards it can leave your beard feeling stiff and clumpy.

Beard Butter is to help give a mans beard new life and vitality, moisturizing the hair plus can help you keep the shape of your natural beard,it gives a lite hold, tames flyaway hair (wild hairs),and can be scented with a variety of smells. Its like a leave-in moisturizing conditioner. Beard Butter helps to soften your beard too and this is what you want to be absorbed by the hair is butter. Dont worry over the scent its not overpowering but very suttle.

Why is it called butter? Its made from high quality shea butter, but also contains coconut oil, jojoba oil, avocado oil, and grape-seed oil. Not all products are the same here.

You should use a quality beard oil and beard butter daily for best results.
