Game 1 at Biddeford Thursday 11/20/25
The Beacons dropped the puck on the new season with an early afternoon game on the road at Biddeford. The 1st period featured an exciting back and forth flow as both teams established their rhythm. Biddeford scored first and capitalized on another goal to take a 2-0. With about a minute left in the period Mikaela Furt cleaned up a rebound generated by a low shot from Eloise Hackett, recording the first goal of the season for the Beacons. The 2nd period presented a significant challenge, characterized by a series of penalties and the tactical difficulties of the long ice change and short onside bench. Despite showing flashes of promise early on, the Beacons found themselves playing short-handed for a substantial portion of the period, which allowed Biddeford to pull ahead. Three early 3rd period goals by Biddeford may have put the game out of reach, but the Beacons continued to battle. Eloise Hackett capped off a strong performance by scoring the team's second goal unassisted. While the Lady Beacons ultimately fell by a socre of 8-2, the team showcased a competitive spirit and displayed many promising elements to build upon as the season progresses. Next up for the Beacons is another road game @ Lewiston.
Game 2 at Lewiston Wednesday 11/26/25
The Lady Beacons delivered a commanding performance against Lewiston in their Thanksgiving Eve matchup, securing a decisive 7-1 victory. The Beacons wasted no time establishing control, opening the scoring 4 minutes into the 1st period when Sarah Finn netted her 1st goal of the season, assisted by Annabelle Price. This was followed by a rapid-fire sequence of three goals over a 5 minute span that ignited the Beacons' offense. Eloise Hackett scored, assisted by Mikaela Furt. Then less than a minute later, Mikaela Furt found the net herself, with an assist from Haley Field. Sarah Finn capped the early scoring burst, notching her 2nd goal of the game to give the Beacons a 4-0 lead heading into the 1st intermission. The 1st period blitz carried into the 2nd, as Sarah Finn completed her hat trick a mere 47 seconds after the restart, assisted by Mikaela Furt. Despite playing with a limited roster of only eleven skaters, the Lady Beacons leveraged their lead to manage the game flow and conserve energy. They controlled the clock, but still added to their tally late in the frame when Haley Field scored on a net-front scrum, extending the lead to 6-0 after 2 periods. Lewiston managed to break the shutout halfway through the 3rd period, but Beacons goaltender Mya Clark was otherwise stellar, stopping 13 of 14 shots faced. The Beacons final goal came when Alexis Turner secured a pass from Haley Field and beat the Lewiston goalie. The win takes the Beacons to 1-1.
Game 3 at Greely Friday 11/28/25
The Lady Beacons delivered a powerful performance on the ice, cruising to a 7-1 victory over Greely in a game defined by relentless offensive pressure and a standout night from Mikaela Furt. The Beacons wasted no time establishing their dominance, scoring just 25 seconds into the game. Furt opened the scoring with an assist from Alexis Turner. Later in the period, Eloise Hackett doubled the lead with a goal assisted by Sarah Finn and Anna Valdmanis, giving the Beacons a 2-0 advantage heading into the 1st intermission. The 2nd period saw the Beacons' offense explode, netting four goals. Mikaela Furt struck first, just 39 seconds in, set up by Annabelle Price and Alexis Turner. Furt completed her hat trick moments later at the 2:47 mark, assisted by Sarah Finn. Elosie Hackett then added her 2nd goal of the night midway through the period, assisted by Furt. The scoring barrage was capped off by Sarah Finn, who found the back of the net with a nice tic-tac-toe from Hackett and Furt, making the score 6-1. The Beacons maintained pressure in the third, with Furt adding her fourth goal of the night to cement the 7-1 victory. Goaltender Mya Clark was solid in net for the Beacons, turning away 6 of 7 shots, ensuring the lopsided victory.
Game 4 at Edward Little Wednesday 12/3/25
After a busy Thanksgiving week the Lady Beacons were back on the road at Edward Little. The Beacons stumbled out of the gate as EL scored on a breakaway 1 minute into the 1st period. The Beacons were able to control the tempo after the opening goal for most of the opening period, but with 30 seconds left in the 1st EL scored on a redirect straight off a faceoff win. Not much went the Beacons way after that 2nd goal for EL. The Beacons were unable to capitalize on 6 power play opportunities. Mikaela Furt, Alexis Turner and Eloise Hackett all had scoring chances turned away by EL's goalie. A 5-0 defeat sends the Beacons to 2-2 on the season.
Game 5 at Brunswick Saturday 12/6/25
It has been feast or famine to start the season for the Lady Beacons. A close battle with Brunswick ended in a 2-0 defeat. The Beacons controlled the puck for most of the game outshooting Brunswick 22-15. A few breakaway chances by, Mikaela Furt, Eloise Hacket and Alexis Turner all got turned away by the Brunswick goalie. The 3rd period looked promising for the Beacons, but 3 power-play opportunities all ended without a goal. Mya Clark stopped 13 shots in the loss. After scoring 15 goals in the two book end games at Thanksgiving the Lady Beacons have been held scoreless in the last two games. Next Thursday will be the home opener for the Beacons as they take on Cheverus at 4pm.
Game 6 vs. Cheverus Thursday 12/11/25 Home Opener
After a 5 game road stretch to open the 2025-26 season the Lady Beacons Home Opener had them face-off against the defending State Champs. Mikaela Furt took the puck into the O zone, split 2 defenders and with a nice deke move to the backhand lit the lamp post 50 seconds into the game. A 1-1 tie halfway into the game had both teams playing good defense and limiting scoring chances. The Lady Beacons went into the locker room feeling confident after 2 periods trailing 3-1. Alexis Turner had provided a spark early in the 3rd with a sneaky shot from the point and Eloise Hackett gathered up the rebound but both shots were turned away. Rebounds were plentiful in the 3rd period for the Beacons, but no pucks found the back of the net in a 6-1 loss at home.
Game 7 vs. Greely Saturday 12/13/25
The Lady Beacons got back into the win column as they down the Rangers at home 3-0. Sarah Finn put the Beacons ahead 1-0 in the 2nd period with a nice mid-range shot. Mikaela Furt scored the 1st of her two goals on a breakaway stretching the lead to 2-0. A quick strike by Mikaela Furt 41 seconds into the 3rd period put the Beacons up 3-0 and closed out the scoring. Mya Clark recorded her 1st career shutout. The Beacons limited Greely to just 3 shots on goal in a lopsided 47-3 shot differential. Next game is a late night home game vs. York on Thursday December 18th.
Game 8 vs.York Saturday 12/18/25
An overtime home victory vs. York carries the lady Beacons into the holiday break with a record of 4 and 4. Sarah Finn scored the game winning goal 4 minutes into OT. It was Finn's 2nd goal of the game. OT was full of exciting play. The Beacons tried to capitalize on a power play with a flurry of shots. As the penalty expired York was able to float the puck out to the neutral zone to the oncoming forward, but Alexis Turner outraced the York player, secured the puck and found Finn on the boards at the red line. Finn made a nice move as she entered the O zone to beat the defenders and slipped the puck past the goalie for the game winner. Finn started the scoring in the 1st period with a power play goal, assisted by Alexis Turner and Mikeala Furt. A back and forth game erupted in the second half of the game as both teams netted 2 goals a piece. Eloise Hackett tied the game 2-2 in the 2nd period when she recieved a cross ice pass from Finn and fired a shot by the York goalie. Hackett responded again in the 3rd. Shortly after York took the lead. Hackett scored on a pass from Alexis Turner and Mikaela Furt to push the game to overtime. The Lady Beacons out shot York 40-13. Mya Clark had 10 saves while securing the win.
Game 9 vs.Yarmouth/Freeport Thursday 1/1/26
The Lady Beacons started the New Year with a tough mathup against the undefeated Clippers. A 0-0 game after the 1st period carried a lot of momentum into the 2nd as Alexis Turner, Haley Field, Mikaela Furt and Anna Chang all had great scoring chances in the 1st half of the game. Anna Chang had the best scoring opportunity of the game when she picked off a D to D pass at the top of the D zone and skated in on a breakaway. A great save by the goalie quickly ended the momentum. Yarmouth got on the board mid-way thru the 2nd. The Beasoncs were stymied by Yarmouth's aggressive play and unable to capitalize on 7 Power Plays. Yarmouth put the game away with three 3rd period goals and shut out the Beacons 7-0.
Game 10 vs. Falmouth/Scarborough Saturday 1/3/26
The Lady Beacons looked to bounce back into the win column in a home game against Falmouth/Scarborough. Mikeala Furt scored 4 minutes into the 1st on an unassisted goal. Furt struck again on the power play with an assist from Alexis Turner with less than 2 minutes to play in the 1st. Turner kept the momentum going early in the 2nd when she went coast to coast giving the Beacons a 3-0 lead. Anna Chang notched her 1st career goal off a pass from Mikeala Furt to push the lead to 4-0 after 2 periods. Falmouth took advantage of a power play early in the 3rd, but the Lady Beacons quickly answered when Delaney Werner scored her 1st career goal on a long shot from the point assisted by Alexis Turner and Eloise Hackett. Mikaela Furt closed the game out by completing the hat trick when she took a neutral zone pass from Anna Valdmanis and fired a shot by the Falmouth goalie. Mya Clark stopped 6 of 7 shots. Four different Beacons scoring goals is a positive to take into the next game.
Game 11 at Falmouth/Scarborough Saturday 1/10/26
The 2nd game versus the Navigators in a week ended with a simialr result as the Lady Beacons secured a shut out victory 4-0. Anna Chang scored on a pass from Mikaela Furt 4 minutes into the game. to provide a spark. A few minutes later Furt secured a loose puck in the neutral zone, skated hard into the O zone, and fired a shot past the Falmouth goalie. The Beacons took a 3-0 lead into the 3rd when Elosie Hackett set up Mikaela Furt for a power play goal. The extra goal was extremely helpful going into the 3rd as the Lady Beacons had to fight off a 10 minute major penalty kill. A strong penalty kill and perfectly executed clock management helped the Beacons survive without giving up a goal. Mya Clark played phenomenal in goal stopping all 15 shots. Alexis Turner's power play goal with 4 minutes to play completed the scoring. Turner was set up by Mikaela Furt and Anna Chang. The Lady Beacons will take the two game win streak into a busy week of 4 games in 7 days. A rematch with Cheverus is next!
Game 12 at Cheverus Monday 1/12/26
The rematch with the defending state champs showed the Lady Beacons can compete with any team in the league. A defensive battle in the 1st provided some momentum going in period #2. Anna Chang, Haley Field and Mikeala Furt all had good scoring chances. Two penalites in the 2nd tested the penalty kill, but the Lady Beacons maintained the strategy and executed systems to near perfection keeping the game tied going into the 3rd. Mya Clark played a phenominal game in net. Her post to post leg safe late in the 2nd provided to all she was locked in for this game. Clark stopped 35 shots on the night. The only 1 that got past her was a puck she had partially covered under her skate after a save on a wrap around. A delayed whistle helped give Cheverus just enough time to slide one final stick poke pushing the puck across the line. With less than a minute to go the Beacons were able to secure an offensive zone faceoff. Playing short-handed due to a penalty called on Keke Mosunic (a penalty Coach Winship passionately disagrees with) the Lady Beacons pulled Clark from net to add an extra offensive attacker. Cheverus was able to clear the puck to the neutral zone and secure an empty net goal to close out the game 2-0.
Game 13 vs. Gorham Thursday 1/15/26
It was a tough night on the home ice for the Lady Beacons, who fell to Gorham 5-3 in a hard-fought battle. The Beacons struggled to stay out of the penalty box, conceding four power-play goals to Gorham and accumulating seven penalties in the game. Gorham opened the scoring in the 1st period, taking a 1-0 lead. The 2nd period saw the Beacons fight back, with Mikaela Furt finding the back of the net off an assist from Alexis Turner to keep the game at a 1 goal deficit heading into the final period. The 3rd period proved decisive, as Gorham scored three goals to pull away. The Beacons showed resilience, with Alexis Turner scoring a goal assisted by Annabelle Price, and Sarah Finn adding another with 12 seconds remaining in the game. Despite the late push, it wasn't enough to overcome Gorham's lead. Beacons' goalie Mya Clark had a busy night, making an impressive 33 saves to keep her team in the game. The Lady Beacons will look to regroup and cut down on penalties in their next outing.
Game 14 vs. Biddeford Saturday 1/17/26
A chippy rematch with Biddeford ended in a 6-1 loss at home on a snowy evening. Biddeford jumped out to a 2-0 lead scoring their first goal less than a minute into the game. A solid 2nd period of defense by the Beacons wasn't enough to get them back in the game. Biddeford held the Beacons to zero shots in the period. A flurry of Power Play chances in the 3rd showed the Beacons wouldn't go away easily. Biddeford scored a powerplay goal with a "Michigan" move that put the game out of reach. Eloise Hackett scored the lone goal for the Lady Beacons on the power play. Sarah Finn found Anna Chang in the corner who made a nice move on her defender and slid the puck to Hackett for the goal. Mya Clark was busy in goal stopping 32 of 38 shots.
Game 15 vs. Penobscot Thursday 1/22/26
Looking to snap a 3 game losing streak The Lady Beacons put together an impressive home game against the Pioneers. Playing infront of goalie Isabelle Watson who was getting her first start of the season provided a spark for the Beacons to play their best in all three zones. Mikaela Furt got the first goal of the game in the 1st period on a pass from Anna Valdmanis. Elosie Hackett scored from Alexis Turner early in the 2nd. Then a few minutes later Turner took off from deep in her D zone, went end to end, and slide the puck five hole to score, giving the Beacons a 3-0 lead. Penobscot had no answers for Watson who played stellar in net giving up one powerplay goal late in the second. In the 3rd period the Lady Beacons controlled the tempo with excellent puck possession and passing. Elosie Hackett scored her 2nd goal of the game mid-way through the final period on a nice play set up by Alexis Turner and Mikaela Furt to secure the 4-1 victory. Isabella Watson stopped 20 of 21 shots to get her 1st win in goal.
Game 16 @ Gorham Saturday 1/24/26
The Lady Beacons traveled to USM Ice Arena on a bitterly cold evening to take on the Gorham Co-op. Elosie Hackett scored less than a minute into the game. Mikaela Furt and Dani Schauf set up Hackett to jump start the game. Gorham quickly responded when they scored on a power play a minute later to tie the game 1-1. A back and forth game saw Mikaela Furt and Delaney Werner each score unassisted goals in the 2nd period to keep the game close. Gorham took a 4-3 lead into the 3rd. A power play chance to start the 3rd gave the Lady Beacons momentum, but they were unable to capitalize. Two penalties in the 3rd gave Gorham just enough oppotunity to pull away as they scored on one of their power plays. A very cold night and a tough 6-3 loss for the Beacons. Mya Clark stopped 22 shots in net.
Game 17 @ York Wednesday 1/28/26
A long road trip to Rochester NH to take on the York Co-op team did not slow the Lady Beacons down as they won 4-1. Sound defensive play, good puck movement, fantastic singing on the bench during play stopage from Coach Dan provided a spark. Elosie Hackett's pass to the front of the net was deflected by Dani Schauf and the redirection found the back of the net for a 1-0 lead. The Beacons were able to kill off a penalty to start the 2nd period and responded with an unassisted goal by Annabelle Price. York got on the board with a goal early in the 3rd, but Alexis Turner took control of the game with 2 goals of her own in the 3rd to close out the game. Turner's first goal of the game was on the powerplay. She received a pass from Eloise Hackett and fired from the blue line through a lot of traffic. Turner's 2nd goal was an unassited empty net goal with less than a minute to play in the game. Mya Clark stopped 16 of 17 shots on goal to get the win.
Game 18 vs. Winslow Thursday 1/29/26 - Senior Night
The regular season finale began with a celebration as the Lady Beacons recognized the hardwork and commitment of their two seniors, Dani Schauf and Maya Stivaletti. Playing with high energy and emotion in the 1st period provided a spark as the Lady Beacons took a 1-0 lead into the 2nd period. Keke Mosunic scored her 1st goal of the season. Eloise Hackett got a clean shot off and the rebound bounced directly onto Mosunic's stick as she slapped the puck into the back of the net. Mikaela Furt scored a power play goal when she was set up by Alexis Turner and Annabelle Price. Going into the 3rd with a 2-1 lead the Lady Beacons were stymied by the Winslow goalie. A fluke goal that deflected off a skate tied the game at 2 and set up sudden death overtime. A power play opportunity to start OT didn't result in much offense for the Beacons. Half way through the extra set, Winslow scored the game winner on a deflected pass that went up and over Beacons goalie Mya Clark (18 saves). A disappointing 3-2 loss for the Lady Beacons who end the regular season in 4th place in Class A South with a record of 8 wins 10 losses. A 1st round playoff matchup with Falmouth/Scarborough awaits.
Game 19 vs. Falmouth Thursday 2/4/26 - (Class A South Quarterfinal Playoff Game)
The 1st round of the Class A South 2026 Playoff game was a home game for the 4th seed Lady Beacons vs. 5th seed Falmouth/Scarborough. A tightly contested 1st period where the Lady Beacons controlled the puck for most of the period saw Sarah Finn score on a beautiful play set up by Alexis Turner and Haley Field. The Beacons took a 1-0 lead into the 2nd. Falmouth/Scarboroguh tied the game at 1 when the scored on the power paly halfway into the 2nd. A Falmouth/Scarborough goal with less than a minute to go in the 2nd period proved to be the game winner. The 3rd period was another tight period of back and forth play. The Lady Beacons had a few chances to score but solid netminding ended the Lady Beacons season in a 3-1 playoff loss. Mya Clark had 11 saves. The Beacons had 29 shots on net.
