Game 1 at Biddeford Thursday 11/20/25
The Beacons dropped the puck on the new season with an early afternoon game on the road at Biddeford. The 1st period featured an exciting back and forth flow as both teams established their rhythm. Biddeford scored first and capitalized on another goal to take a 2-0. With about a minute left in the period Mikaela Furt cleaned up a rebound generated by a low shot from Eloise Hackett, recording the first goal of the season for the Beacons. The 2nd period presented a significant challenge, characterized by a series of penalties and the tactical difficulties of the long ice change and short onside bench. Despite showing flashes of promise early on, the Beacons found themselves playing short-handed for a substantial portion of the period, which allowed Biddeford to pull ahead. Three early 3rd period goals by Biddeford may have put the game out of reach, but the Beacons continued to battle. Eloise Hackett capped off a strong performance by scoring the team's second goal unassisted. While the Beacons ultimately fell by a socre of 8-2, the team showcased a competitive spirit and displayed many promising elements to build upon as the season progresses. Game 2 at Lewiston Wednesday 11/26/25
The Beacons delivered a commanding performance against Lewiston in their Thanksgiving Eve matchup, securing a decisive 7-1 victory. The Beacons wasted no time establishing control, opening the scoring 4 minutes into the 1st period when Sarah Finn netted her 1st goal, assisted by Annabelle Price. This was followed by a rapid-fire sequence of three goals over a 5 minute span that ignited the Beacons' offense. Eloise Hackett scored, assisted by Mikaela Furt. Then less than a minute later, Mikaela Furt found the net herself, with an assist from Haley Field. Sarah Finn capped the early burst, notching her 2nd goal of the game to give the Beacons a 4-0 lead heading into the 1st intermission. The 1st period blitz carried into the 2nd period, as Sarah Finn completed her hat trick a mere 47 seconds after the restart, assisted by Mikaela Furt. Despite playing with a limited roster of only eleven skaters, the Beacons leveraged their lead to manage the game flow and conserve energy. They controlled the clock, but still added to their tally late in the frame when Haley Field capitalized on a net-front scrum, extending the lead to 6-0 after 2 periods. Lewiston managed to break the shutout halfway through the 3rd period, but Beacons goaltender Mya Clark was otherwise stellar, stopping 13 of 14 shots faced. The Beacons finalized the scoring when Alexis Turner secured a pass from Haley Field and beat the Lewiston goalie. The win takes the Beacons to 1-1. Next game is Friday at Greely.
Game 3 at Greely Friday 11/28/25
The Beacons delivered a powerful performance on the ice, cruising to a 7-1 victory over Greely in a game defined by relentless offensive pressure and a standout night from Mikaela Furt. The Beacons wasted no time establishing their dominance, scoring just 25 seconds into the game. Furt opened the scoring with an assist from Alexis Turner. Later in the period, Eloise Hackett doubled the lead with a goal assisted by Sarah Finn and Anna Valdmanis, giving the Beacons a 2-0 advantage heading into the 1st intermission. The 2nd period saw the Beacons' offense explode, netting four goals. Mikaela Furt struck first, just 39 seconds in, set up by Annabelle Price and Alexis Turner. Furt completed her hat trick moments later at the 2:47 mark, assisted by Sarah Finn.
Elosie Hackett then added her 2nd goal of the night midway through the period, assisted by Furt. The scoring barrage was capped off by Sarah Finn, who found the back of the net with a nice tic-tac-toe from Hackett and Furt, making the score 6-1. The Beacons maintained pressure in the third, with Furt adding her fourth goal of the night to cement the 7-1 victory.
Goaltender Mya Clark was solid in net for the Beacons, turning away 6 of 7 shots faced, ensuring the lopsided victory.
Game 4 at Edward Little Wednesday 12/3/25
After a busy Thanksgiving week the Beacons were back on the road at Edward Little. The Beacons stumbled out of the gate as EL scored on a breakaway 1 minute into hte 1st period. After controlling most of the period after the opening goal things looked promising for the Beacons heading into the 2nd, but with 30 seconds left in the 1st EL scored on a redirect straight off a faceoff win. Not much went the Beacons way after that 2nd goal for EL. The Beacons were unable to capitalize on 6 power play opportunities. A 5-0 defeat sends the Beacons to 2-2 on the season. Next game is a Saturday matinee at Brunswick.
Game 5 at Brunswick Saturday 12/6/25
It has been feast or famine to start the season for the Lady Beacons. A close battle with Brunswick ended in a 2-0 defeat. The Beacons controlled the puck for most of the game outshooting Brunswick 22-15. A few breakaway chances by, Mikaela Furt, Eloise Hacket and Alexis Turner all got turned away by the Brunswick goalie. The 3rd period looked promising for the Beacons, but 3 power-play opportunities all ended without a goal. Mya Clark stopped 13 shots in the loss. After scoring 15 goals in the two book end games at Thanksgiving the Lady Beacons have not scored in the last two games. Next Thursday will be the home opener for the Beacons as they take on Cheverus at 4pm.
Game 6 vs. Cheverus Thursday 12/11/25 Home Opener
After a 5 game road stretch to open the 2025-26 season the Lady Beacons Home Opener had them face-off against the defending State Champs. Mikaela Furt's took the puck into the O zone, split 2 defenders and with a nice deke move to the backhand lit the lamp post 50 seconds into the game. A 1-1 tie halfway into the game had both teams playing good defense and limiting scoring chances. The lady Beacons went into the locker room after 2 periods trailing 3-1. Alexis Turner had provided a spark early in the 3rd with a sneaky shot from the point and Elioise Hackett gathered up the rebound but both shots were turned away. Rebounds were plentiful in the 3rd for the Beacons, but no pucks found the back of the net in a 6-1 loss at home. A quick turnaround will feature the Bacons at home on Saturday vs. Greely.
Game 7 vs. Greely Saturday 12/13/25
The Lady Beacons got back into the win column as they down the Rangers at home 3-0. Sarah Finn put the Beacons ahead 1-0 in the 2nd period with a nice mid-range shot. Mikaela Furt scored the 1st of her two goals on a breakaway stretching the lead to 2-0. A quick strike by Mikaela Furt 41 seconds into the 3rd period put the lady Beacons up 3-0. Mya Clark recorded her 1st career shutout. The Beacons limited Greely to just 3 shots on goal in a lopsided 47-3 shot differential. Next game is a late night home game vs. York on Thursday December 18th.
Game 8 vs.York Saturday 12/18/25
An overtime victory carries the lady Beacons into the holiday break with a record of 4 and 4. Sarah Finn scored her 2nd goal of the game 4 minutes into OT. The Beacons tried to capitalize on a power play with a flurry of shots. As the penalty expired York was able to float the puck out to the neutral zone for the oncoming forawrd, but Alexis Turner outraced the York player secured the puck and found Finn on the boards at the red line. Finn made a nice move as she entered the O zone to beat the defenders and slipped the puck past the goalie for the game winner. Finn started the scoring in the 1st period with a power play goal with assists from Alexis Turner and Mikeala Furt. A back and forth game erupted in the second half of the game as both teams netted 2 goals a piece. Eloise Hackett tied the game 2-2 in the 2nd period when she recieved a cross ice pass from Finn and fired a shot by the York goalie. Hackett responded again in the 3rd. Shortly after York took the lead. Hackett scored on a pass from Alexis Turner and Mikaela Furt to push the game to overtime. The Lady Beacons out shot York 40-13. Mya Clark had 10 saves while securing the win.
