Hi! I am the teacher in the Beach Room!

Our classroom is full of fun, laughter, and a HUGE growth for all of us.

My name is Cheryl Kearney. I am proud to say that I am a Colorado native. My husband Steve and I have been married for 25 years. We live in the Parker area with our 2 wonderful children. Our daughter Emily is 21 years old and is a senior at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Our son Ben is 19 and will be a freshman this year at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. I enjoy spending time with my family going to the mountains, hiking, reading a good book, or cooking and baking for my family.

I am beginning my 15^th year of teaching preschool, and my second year here a Word of Life. I truly love teaching the 3 year olds and seeing their little minds and bodies develop and grow.

After high school I attended a small college in Iowa and received my associate’s degree. I have continued my education in early childhood education classes. I have also completed many other courses in the early childhood field, learning about the best teaching practices and techniques in the classroom.

My philosophy is that every child is a unique creation. All children are a special creation of God and learn in different ways. I am excited to be able to work alongside of your child and help them develop their individual learning style.
