If you want a hitch cover that adds a splash of national pride and visual flair to your tow setup, choose Beabes Ireland Flag Trailer; if you need a strictly utilitarian, low-profile shield that blends into the background, choose Shenprymic Square Trailer Hitch.
• Beabes Ireland Flag Trailer: Its biggest strength is the vibrant Irish flag design that instantly personalizes your vehicle's rear end, while its trade-off is the specific aesthetic choice that won't suit every driver's taste for a "stock" look. This pick is for the boat owner or truck enthusiast who wants their trailer hitch to serve as a conversation starter and a display of heritage.
• Shenprymic Square Trailer Hitch: Its biggest strength is its completely unobtrusive, flat black plastic construction that offers a minimalist, no-nonsense appearance, with the trade-off being a total lack of visual character or decorative appeal. This pick is for the practical user who views the hitch cover purely as a functional barrier against debris and doesn't care about making a statement.
The Beabes Ireland Flag Trailer Hitch Cover is designed for those who view their towing equipment as an extension of their personality rather than just a mechanical necessity. Crafted from durable black rubber, this accessory does more than just fill the gap in your receiver tube; it transforms a standard 2-inch square opening into a bold display piece. The material is engineered to resist deformation and stay securely in place without falling off easily, ensuring that the iconic Irish flag remains visible and intact through various weather conditions.
For the boat owner, this specific model offers a unique blend of protection and style. When you are heading out to the water or pulling a utility trailer, the cover acts as a first line of defense against rain, dust, snow, ice, and even small animals trying to nest inside your receiver tube. By keeping these elements out, it effectively prevents rust from forming on the metal interior of the hitch. The dimensions of 3.15 x 3.15 x 1.77 inches ensure a tight fit for virtually any standard 2-inch trailer receiver found on SUVs, trucks, RVs, and sedans.
However, this product is not for everyone. If you prefer your vehicle to look exactly as it did when it left the factory, with zero added graphics or colors, this cover might feel too loud. It is specifically tailored for individuals who appreciate the elegance of adding a cultural symbol to their gear. Installation is straightforward and requires no tools, meaning you can push it into the receiver tube and have it working immediately. If you value a hitch cover that adds a touch of class and identity to your rig while still providing solid protection, this is the clear path forward.

In stark contrast to the decorative nature of the Beabes option, the Shenprymic Square Trailer Hitch is built entirely for function and discretion. Constructed from sturdy black plastic, this insert plug is designed to provide a basic level of protection against environmental elements without drawing any attention to itself. It features a flat design that deliberately avoids any decorative patterns or graphics, offering a truly minimalist aesthetic that suits drivers who prioritize a clean, uncluttered look on the rear of their vehicle.
This product is ideal for the pragmatic boat owner or commercial operator who views the hitch cover solely as a tool to maintain vehicle cleanliness and equipment longevity. The primary goal here is to keep the tow bar opening free from debris, dust, and accumulation when the vehicle is not in use. By engineering a secure fit structure, it helps prevent unauthorized access or the accidental entry of foreign objects into the tow socket.
You should consider this option if your philosophy is that a hitch cover should simply do its job and disappear. There are no flags, no logos, and no bright colors—just a flat black cap that sits flush with the receiver. It preserves the condition of your towing equipment by acting as a barrier against the elements, but it does so in a way that is almost invisible once installed. If you find decorative covers distracting or if you simply prefer your truck or SUV to look like a serious workhorse rather than a customized showpiece, the Shenprymic cover delivers exactly what you need without the extra visual noise.

• Best for minimalism and blending in → Shenprymic Square Trailer Hitch, due to its flat black design that offers zero distraction.
• Best for preventing rust and animal intrusion → Both products perform this function well, but the Beabes rubber may offer slightly better sealing properties against water and ice given its flexible material.
• Best for ease of installation → Both require no tools and push directly into the receiver, though the Beabes has a slightly larger profile (3.15 inches) compared to the slim Shenprymic insert.
• Best for boat owners wanting a conversation starter → Beabes Ireland Flag Trailer, as the distinct flag design makes your setup memorable when parked at the dock or marina.
• Best for boat owners wanting a "stealth" look → Shenprymic Square Trailer Hitch, perfect for those who want their boat and trailer to look uniform and professional without extra adornments.
• Best for durability against deformation → Beabes Ireland Flag Trailer, as the black rubber construction is specifically noted for resisting deformation and staying put.
After analyzing the specifications and intended use cases for both items, I would personally buy the Beabes Ireland Flag Trailer for my own boat setup. While the Shenprymic option is a perfectly competent, no-nonsense protector, there is something to be said for making your gear reflect a bit of who you are. The rubber construction of the Beabes cover feels robust enough to handle the harsh environment near the water, and the Irish flag design adds a layer of elegance that elevates the entire rear end of the vehicle. In my opinion, protecting your hitch is important, but doing it in a way that looks good while you are at it is the smarter long-term investment for a boat owner who cares about presentation.

Both products are designed for easy installation and removal without tools; you can simply push them into or pull them out of the receiver tube.
