Many of you know Mrs. Close as our dedicated high school assistant principal—a leader who goes above and beyond to support students and help them reach their full potential. She invests countless hours ensuring that every student feels valued, encouraged, and equipped for success, both inside and outside the classroom. Her passion for education and her genuine care for the school community are evident in everything she does.
In addition to her role as vice principal, Mrs. Close has generously taken on the responsibility of overseeing the PTSO. Her leadership, insight, and commitment to collaboration bring tremendous value to our organization. She is deeply invested in fostering a positive school environment, strengthening connections between families and staff, and helping create opportunities that enrich the student experience. We are incredibly grateful for her continued guidance, dedication, and the heart she brings to our school community.
Jen is the current President of the PTSO, a role she proudly fulfills after establishing the organization from the ground up for the Bald Eagle Area Middle and High School. As a devoted wife and mother of three sons—one now in college and two still in the district—she is deeply invested in fostering a positive, supportive environment for students, parents, and staff alike. Her leadership reflects both her love for her children and her strong belief in the power of community collaboration.
Residing in Howard, PA, she balances family life, volunteer service, and her career as a fine-art portrait photographer, where she captures timeless, heartfelt images for families in her studio. Grounded in her faith and guided by a calling to serve others, she strives to live out her values daily—whether through encouraging students, supporting teachers, or lending a helping hand wherever it’s needed.
Her commitment to faith, family, and community shines through in everything she does. She believes that service, kindness, and creativity can strengthen relationships and create lasting impact—principles she carries into both her personal and professional life.
We are happy to welcome Meag as our VP. She is a devoted wife and mother of two boys, ages 8 and 13, who attend school in the Bald Eagle Area School District. A 2003 Bellwood-Antis graduate, she and her family have settled in their forever home in the mountains of Centre County’s Moshannon area. After 20 rewarding years as a nurse, she is transitioning to a full-time stay-at-home mom to focus on her family, faith, and community.
Guided by her faith and a calling to serve others, she is passionate about supporting children and strengthening connections between parents, teachers, students, and the community. She fully embraces the PTSO mission to create an enriching environment for students through collaboration and creativity.
Outside of PTSO, she enjoys crafting, cooking, outdoor activities like hunting and hiking with her children, traveling, and attending Freedom Life Church. Her greatest joy comes from cheering on her boys and continuing to learn, grow, and serve wherever she can.
We are excited to welcome Mar as our Secretary! She is a devoted wife, proud mom of four, and a hardworking small business owner who brings incredible energy and organization to everything she does. Family is at the heart of her life—whether she’s cheering from the stands at the hockey rink, exploring the outdoors, or spending quality time with her loved ones, Mar is always creating lasting memories and setting a positive example for her children.
When she’s not managing her successful cleaning business, she’s often lending a hand in the community or finding ways to make a difference for others. Her strong work ethic, caring nature, and love for connection make her a perfect fit for the BEA PTSO team. She’s excited to serve as Secretary and looks forward to supporting our students, staff, and school community through teamwork, dedication, and a genuine heart for service.
We are thrilled to welcome Tina as our Treasurer! A proud Bald Eagle Area High School alumna, she has deep roots in our community and a heartfelt dedication to giving back. Tina brings a wealth of experience from serving on other boards, along with a professional background in Human Resources that has honed her skills in budgeting, organization, and teamwork—all of which will be invaluable to our PTSO.
As a parent of two children in the district, she understands firsthand the importance of strong school and community partnerships. Her commitment to supporting students, staff, and families reflects her passion for helping our schools continue to thrive. With her experience, steady leadership, and community spirit, we’re excited to have Tina on board and look forward to all the ways she will strengthen and enhance our PTSO team.
