Yes, without a competition licence valid on the day of the qualifying competition, issued either by the 3VL or the LF3, it is NOT possible to qualify for international championships the following year !

If you have qualified in a competition, you will receive an email confirming your qualification within 2 to 3 weeks of that qualifying competition.

However, you can also view the list of all those who have already qualified at any time here in our myBE3 under the menu item "Who ist alredy qualified ?".

The procedure consists of several steps:

1. Qualification confirmed

You will receive an email confirming your qualification for the relevant championship.

This confirmation means that you have secured a qualification slot, but it does not yet constitute your final registration for the championship.

2. Check the championship page on myBE3

Each championship has a dedicated page on myBE3 where you will find the registration procedure, deadlines and all available practical information.

➡️ Always follow the instructions on the page of the relevant championship, as the procedure may vary from one event to another.

3. Wait for registration to open

If the championship takes place the following year, it is normal that the registration procedure is not yet available when you receive your qualification.

The information is generally published towards the end of the year preceding the championship, once the organiser has provided the official registration details.

➡️ No specific action is required in the meantime.

4. Confirm your participation and register

Once registration opens, follow the procedure indicated on the championship’s myBE3 page to confirm your participation, complete your registration and make any required payment.

⚠️ Make sure to respect the indicated deadlines.

5. Organise your travel

Unless otherwise specified, each athlete is responsible for organising their own:

✈️ Travel → 🏨 Accommodation → 🚐 Local transport

For bookings made well in advance, we recommend choosing flexible or refundable options whenever possible.

6. Take part in the championship 🇧🇪

Before travelling, check the championship’s myBE3 page for the latest information and participation requirements, particularly regarding your licence and the official Belgian national team uniform.

Qualification → myBE3 → registration opens → confirmation & registration → travel → championship 🇧🇪

Once you have received the confirmation email regarding your qualification from the Age-Group Community, you will no longer receive any further emails from the Age-Group Community. From that point onwards, it is the responsibility of each qualified participant to keep themselves up to date via our various information channels, such as our Belgium3Team Facebook page, the Belgium Triathlon website  or – ideally – via this myBE3 platform.

If you have received confirmation from World Triathlon that you have qualified for the T100 World Championships, please follow these steps:

1. Accept your qualification and complete your registration by following the instructions in the confirmation email from World Triathlon.

2. Inform Belgian Triathlon of your participation by completing the form linked on the Qatar page in myBE3.

3. Check the "Qatar" page on myBE3 regularly, as all important updates (schedule, team information, etc.) will be published there.

4. Race in the official Belgian national tri suit, as all athletes represent Belgium at the Championships.

5. Arrange your own travel and accommodation, unless otherwise stated on myBE3.

6. Respect all registration and administrative deadlines set by both World Triathlon and Belgian Triathlon.

Once these steps have been completed, you will receive all further information through myBE3 as part of the Belgian team.
