It is our immense pleasure to announce and call for Papers to the International Conference on “Transformative Role of Libraries in Education, Innovation and Research: Marching towards Developed Nation” (Viksit Bharat 2047) being organized by the Department of Library and Information Science, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, Tamilnadu in collaboration with Indian Association of the Teachers of Library and Information Science, Karnataka during 07th , 08th & 09th May 2026
Objectives of the conference

To examine the evolving role of libraries in advancing education, innovation, and research in line with Viksit Bharat.
To share best practices and innovations in library services, governance, and technology adoption.
To create strategies for strengthening the LIS profession through skill enhancement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and internationalisation.
To identify and develop best practices of Teaching, Learning and Research information management in line with emerging global practices.
To deliberate on the contributions of Dr. SSR shaping the present knowledge society
To identify pathways for aligning library services with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030. To make aware and document the traditional knowledge practices of Indian and Dravidian knowledge systems.
