Bell County Youth Orchestra

James L. Clarkson, is the former Assistant to the Killeen ISD Orchestra program and is now the owner of New Horizon Music Studio and Founder/Director of the Bell County Youth Orchestra. His vision has been to make strings a priority in Bell County and by creating the youth orchestra it has produced options for our youth on a community level whereby they can explore greater options as they grow through the program. 

Elizabeth Magee has been teaching Orchestra in Killeen ISD for 8 years, where her orchestras have consistently earned “sweepstakes” ratings at UIL contest.  She received a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Ithaca College and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Music Education from the University of Michigan. She is excited to be working with the Bell County Youth Orchestra!  

James Flowers, is a veteran music educator with 40 years of experience. He holds a BMED from Southwestern University in Georgetown. Mr. Flowers has served as the Orchestra Chair for Region VIII, and is very active adjudicating UIL concerts and contests around Texas.
