Watch our season openers from Regina Oct 4, 5.
BC Thunder is BC's only team in the 14 team National Ringette League, the premier league for the sport of Ringette in North America and Canada's national league for elite ringette players aged 18+. Just as many young hockey players aspire to play in the NHL, many female ringette players dream of playing in the National Ringette League, and BC Thunder provides that opportunity to BC's best athletes.
During regular season BC Thunder plays in the 7 team Western Division of the NRL competing against teams in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Games are hosted in a tournament or "hub". BC is hosting our Hub February 21-22 in Port Coquitlam! The BC Hub will feature the BC Thunder, Saskatchewan Heat, Manitoba Herd and the Edmonton WAM!
The team's positive impact on ringette in BC is evident. Throughout the year BC Thunder players and coaches transfer their knowledge and enthusiasm to younger players through development sessions, skills camps, coaching, mentoring and even autograph sessions.
If you would like to help ensure that BC's best ringette players have the opportunity to compete at the highest level, and ensure that younger players have the role models that encourage them to remain in team sports, please consider supporting us.
