  • You can still register & get pledges at www.funrun.com.
  • We need volunteers to sign up for the Fun Run.
  • Families that do not raise the pledge minimum, must pay the spring buy-out by March 31.
• Elementary Field Day: Friday
  • It is a regular school day with regular arrival and dismissal times.
  • Field Day activities are from 9am-2pm.
  • Middle School already had Field Day in August.
• Spring Break is next week.

From Mr. Heinze’s recent morning announcements at school:

• Tonight is Family Movie Night on the Lawn at 6pm.
  • Come join the Dad’s Club for fun & fellowship.
  • Admission is free.
  • Food & drinks are $1-2 each.
  • Bring your blankets & folding chairs.
• Mr. Heinze's Fun Run 50 States Challenge
  • Our Bronco Fun Run is now through March 12 and Mr. Heinze wants pledges from all 50 states!
  • Last year Mr. Heinze challenged us to get pledges from all 50 states. We did and he ran 50 laps around the school dressed as Cupid!
  • This year Mr. Heinze wants classrooms to vote on his 50 states challenge. If we get them all:
    • Should students duct tape Mr. Heinze to a wall or
    • Should Mr. Heinze run 50 laps dressed as a leprechaun?
  • Stay tuned for how to vote.
• March is Music in Our Schools Month
  • Students that participate in music earn more academic honors and awards than those who do not.
  • Look for surprise music performances during the month.
  • Thank you to Mrs. Ronith for creating such a fabulous music program at BCS this year!
• Good luck to our two Odyssey of the Mind teams who compete Saturday March 7.
• Good Luck to our Elementary UIL team who are competing Saturday March 7 in oral reading and impromptu speaking.
• Yeehaw for our Elementary Name That Book team who worked very hard and came in 2nd Place at their competition!
• We have a new Buddy Bench on the playground. If you are feeling lonely, you can sit on the buddy bench and someone will join you to be your buddy.

  • Joining us at Dave & Busters on February 18. We had a great turnout.
• Today Box Tops for Education are due to school (box tops and any receipts to scan).

  • Wear orange for Dynamo spirit day
  • 7:15am Parent Information Meeting:

    • Presentation slides in English & Spanish
  • Rescheduled kindergarten field trip

  • 8am Go Texan Parade—students are invited to dress in western wear

Please support our vendors and enroll in after school classes on campus.

• We hope the classes make the minimums so the vendors return next year.
• The latest schedule and flyers are on the new website.

Charter Chatter 1-15-2020:

Hello, Broncos! Attached is Issue #10 of Charter Chatter.

• The Dad’s Club monthly meeting is tonight at 6pm at Mike’s Ice House.
• Bookmark the new PTO Website at www.bcspto.org. It’s mobile device friendly, and we’ll be shutting down the old PTO web address soon.
• Friday January 17 is an early dismissal day and for Grades 6-8 it’s Fun Food Friday.
• Monday January 20 school is closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
• A group of parents is planning a new event for the school—a music benefit concert in April. If you can help with obtaining sponsorships, please reply to this email.
