Major Crimes is the division in which the detectives of the Blaine County Sheriff's Office operate. The scope of the Major Crimes Division is to provide thorough and professional investigations for all felony-level crimes that occur within Blaine County, and to bring those investigations to a successful conclusion. The focus is to provide a positive impact on the victim(s) while bringing the offender(s) to justice. The division is currently under the command of Captain Emmett Parker.
THERE'S MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE:
Specializing in a wide variety of investigative techniques, MCD detectives lead the way as one of the foremost criminal investigation teams in the state of San Andreas. They work very closely with other departments in the Coalition of Greater Law Enforcement (SASP, LSPD) to cast a net over criminals state-wide and internationally.
Our detectives are trained to delve into various operations including (but not limited to) undercover operations into organized crime, conducting stings on the illegal selling of drugs and weapons, and crime scene investigation. They also work in tandem with other divisions -- such as the Special Response Team for executing warrants, and Patrol Services Division to assist in searches -- to make sure that every case is concluded successfully and to the maximum effort.
M.C.D. detectives delve into various types of operations including (but not limited to) undercover operations into organized crime, conducting stings on the illegal selling of drugs and weapons, and crime scene investigation. They also work closely with other divisions -- such as S.R.T. for executing warrants, and K-9 to assist in searches -- to make sure that every case is concluded with the maximum effort and efficiency.
Applications for the Major Crimes Division are open to all paygrades, however only those with a good deal of knowledge and experience will be accepted into this group. It is a highly rewarding career path, that serves to make the Blaine County Sheriff's Office an even more formidable force out in the field.
