Blockchain Revolution: Bridging Multiple Divides is a brief white paper on blockchain, cryptocurrency, and a platform definition for social justice. It is for individuals to cross the digital and financial divide if they have not already done so. This book is written to empower the following communities:
The unbanked or underbanked,
Black and Brown people around the world, and
Anyone else interested in bitcoin.
The unbanked are people who don't have bank accounts. The underbanked are those who don't have credit cards, or access to loans.
In our current state of financial insecurity, the unbanked may be homeless with a Bachelor’s degree. The underbanked may be employed yet undocumented. A lack of a permanent address should not be an impediment to participating in the blockchain revolution; neither should a lack of formal education nor a lack of stable income.
While having a focus on the unbanked or underbanked, this book is also appropriate for those with higher levels of financial inclusion (accounts, cards, and loans). That's the revolutionary idea: bridging the divide between folks who are typically left out of these prosperous moments and the folks who always seem to have the inside track. In addition to bridging the divides between the “haves” and the “have-nots” in the United States, portions of this book may be amended to instruct readers throughout the diaspora to do the same.
