Each division will focus on age-appropriate skills, engagement, and competitive balance. This program is part of a FUNdamentals series within the BCMI Sports for Littles model:

Mini Mites

Ages 2-3 Years Old

• 4-6 Years: Learn-to-Play Hockey

• 8 Weeks–60 minute session

• Focus: Basic movement, stick handling, and teamwork through fun drills

• Games: Small-area scrimmages with minimal rules–30/30 split skills practice/scrimmage

• 7-10 Years: Beginner Division

• 8 Weeks– 30/30 (2) games

• Focus: Fundamental/intermediate hockey skills, team play

• Games: 3v3 min with goalies, score kept, play offs

• 11-14 Years: Intermediate Division

• 8 Weeks–30/30 (2) games, score kept

• Focus: Strategy, positioning, and teamwork

• Games: 3v3 min with goalies with structured positions, play offs

Gear

Required Gear: All players are required to wear tennis shoes, and athletic clothes (a full range of movement is key!).

Highly Recommended: Water bottle, sunscreen. IT WILL GET HOT

Available to borrow: Stick, Goalie Gear, street hockey balls
