Boston College Law School's Black Law Students Association (BLSA), founded in 1984, is dedicated to advancing the academic, professional, and cultural development of Black law students. Since its founding, BLSA has remained committed to advocacy, impactful programming, and mentorship, especially by supporting incoming 1Ls in their transition to law school. Today, BLSA remains a cornerstone of the BC Law community, contributing to the school’s diversity and supporting an inclusive environment for all students.
Address the common needs and promote the realization of the collective goals of its members;
Encourage professional and educational competence of its members;
Aid, support and assist programs and organizations committed to improving the conditions of oppressed peoples and;
Instill in BLSA members a greater awareness and commitment to the needs of the black community both within the community of Boston and the nation.
