Each month, we select books from a variety of genres—including fiction, non-fiction, fantasy, mystery, and more—that spark our imagination and ignite meaningful discussions.
The purpose of the club is to:
Foster a Love of Reading: Whether you're a seasoned reader or just discovering the joy of books, the club offers a relaxed environment to explore new authors and genres.
Encourage Critical Thinking: Through guided discussions and debates, we analyze themes, characters, and writing styles, helping members sharpen their analytical skills.
Build Community: Connect with like-minded peers, share diverse perspectives, and enjoy lively conversations about books and their impact on our lives and society.
Develop Communication Skills: By sharing your thoughts and listening to others, you'll build confidence in speaking and engaging in thoughtful dialogue.
Each month, we will select a book to read. At the end of the month, we will meet to discuss our overall thoughts and opinions on the book. We will share what we enjoyed, what we didn’t like, and why.
All reading levels are welcome!
Description: Welcome to the Yarn Rebels, where creativity and community come together in the world of crochet and knitting! Our club is a vibrant space for students of all skill levels to explore the art of yarn crafting, from beginners who are just learning the basics to seasoned knitters and crocheters looking to refine their techniques.
Each week, we gather in a room 212, surrounded by colorful yarns and an array of tools, to share ideas, work on service projects, and support one another. Our sessions feature a mix of guided projects, freeform crafting, and skill-building workshops. Whether you're interested in making cozy scarves, intricate patterns, or unique handmade gifts, there’s always something new to learn and create.
