Role Description:

1. Collect and document users' requirements and develop logical and physical specifications

2. Research, evaluate and synthesize technical information to design, develop and testcomputer-based systems including mobile applications

3. Develop data, process and network models to optimize architecture and to evaluate the performance and reliability of designs

4. Plan, design and co-ordinate the development, installation, integration and operation of computer-based systems including mobile applications

5. Assess, test, troubleshoot, document, upgrade and develop maintenance procedures for operating systems, communications environments and applications software

6. May lead and co-ordinate teams of information systems professionals in the development of software and integrated information systems, process control software and other embedded software control systems

Time Commitment: 10 - 15 hours per week.

Nice to Have Skills: Object Oriented Programming, Coding languages such as JavaScript, C#, Next.js, and GraphQL

Experience: Any experience of coding at a job, club or competition would be an asset.

Role Description:

1. Create visual concepts to communicate information.

2. Create everything from posters and billboards to packaging, logos and marketing materials.

3. Use elements such as shapes, colors, typography, images and more to convey ideas to an audience.

4. Selecting photos and typefaces, developing layouts, and designing logos.

5. Communicate and work with managers to develop designs that portray an intended message.

6. Collaborate with other graphic designers, marketers, business analysts, writers, and programmers to create successful products, campaigns, or websites.

Time Commitment: 5 - 10 hours

Nice to have skills: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer, Figma, other graphic design software.

Experience: Working with others to create any graphic designs.

Role Description:

1. Analyze corporate structure and services.

2. Identify the organization's need for volunteers based on its operations and services.

3. Determine what the organization can offer future volunteers.

4. Analyze the risks associated with volunteer positions.

5. Draw up or update job descriptions.

6. Develop policies and procedures for welcoming and integrating volunteers.

7. Develop and implement a strategy to promote volunteering.

8. Represent the organization at various events and issue tables.

9. Update the volunteering section of the organization's website.

Time Commitment: 5 - 10 hours

Nice to have skills: Excel, Word, Other volunteer management software

Experience: Working with managers to reach fundraising goals.

Role Description:

1. read through original material and rewrite it in the target language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained

2. use translation memory software, such as Wordfast, memoQ, Across, Trados Studio and Transit NXT, to ensure consistency of translation within documents and help efficiency

3. use specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used

4. use appropriate software for presentation and delivery

5. research legal, technical and scientific phraseology to find the correct translation

6. liaise with clients to discuss any unclear points

7. proofread and edit final translated versions

8. provide quotations for translation services offered

9. consult with experts in specialist areas

10. retain and develop knowledge on specialist areas of translation

11. follow various translation-quality standards to ensure legal and ethical obligations to the customer.

Time Commitment: 5 - 10 hours

Mandatory Skills: Fluency in another language.

Nice to have skills: Wordfast, memoQ, Across, Trados Studio and Transit NXT.

Experience: Previous work with managers to translate text.

Role Description:

1. Design market research questionnaires.

2. Plan development projects and co-ordinate activities with representatives of a wide variety of industrial and commercial enterprises, community and business associations and government agencies.

3. Assess business opportunities and develop strategies to attract venture capital.

4. Conduct surveys and analyze data on the buying habits and preferences of wholesale or retail consumers.

5. Evaluate customer service and store environments.

6. Prepare reports, research papers, educational texts or articles.

7. Plan and develop E-commerce strategies.

8. Provide consultation on planning and starting of new businesses.

Time Commitment: 5 - 10 hours per week.

Experience: Any experience of working within a marketing team would be an asset.
