For the past 23 years, my focus has been on making Baconton Community Charter School the most effective school possible. From my first third grade class in the Fall of 2000 to my most recent high school graduates, the Class of 2023, and for all of those students who came between; my heart’s desire has been to provide the best opportunities for learning so that our students are prepared for college, career, and productive citizenship. During these years, I have multi-tasked as a classroom teacher (for more grade levels and courses than I can name), yearbook advisor, school counselor, testing coordinator, curriculum director, assistant principal and high school principal. I have steered our accreditation committees and charter renewal processes. In the Fall of 2023, I am shifting gears to accept a full-time role as the Director of Federal Programs. The additional funds available to BCCS through our designation as a Title I School have made possible many improvements to our academic program over the past several years. I look forward to continuing to strengthen our program.
