Jesus tells a story about a son who takes his share of his inheritance and leaves home to live a wild life. When the son’s money runs out and he’s almost starving, he repents and comes home. Before he can even apologize, his father runs and embraces the long-lost son. Jesus was showing that like the father in this story, God loves us no matter what.
