BC Attendly Privacy Policy

BC Attendly is an attendance management application for Brokenshire College events and activities. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and how users may request deletion of their account and data.

Information We Collect

BC Attendly may collect the following information when users create and use an account:

• Name

• Email address

• User role, such as attendee or organizer

• User type, such as student or faculty

• Student ID, department, and course when provided

• Attendance records

• Event participation records

• Evaluation or form responses when submitted

• Account creation and update timestamps

The app may also use the device camera for QR code scanning. Camera access is used only to scan attendance QR codes and is not used to collect photos or videos.

How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Create and manage user accounts

• Authenticate users

• Verify email addresses

• Record attendance

• Generate attendance reports

• Display event participation information

• Send account, verification, password reset, and attendance-related communications

• Support school, administrative, security, and audit needs

Data Storage and Security

BC Attendly uses Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, to store and manage account and attendance data. Data is transmitted using secure network connections where supported by Firebase and related services.

Data Sharing

BC Attendly does not sell personal information.

Data may be processed by trusted service providers used to operate the app, such as Firebase and email delivery services. These services are used only to support app functionality, account management, communication, security, and maintenance.

Users may request deletion of their BC Attendly account and associated data by emailing:

Include the email address used for your BC Attendly account. After verification, we will delete or anonymize the account and associated data where applicable.

Some records may be retained only when required for school, legal, security, audit, or administrative purposes.

BC Attendly is intended for use by Brokenshire College users for school-related attendance and event management. Users should only provide accurate information required for their account and attendance participation.

Changes to This Policy
