I do not remember exactly the date but just before my 10-month trip to Italy. During the exchange period, I contacted to Prof. Son several time to propose my idea about creating a satellite. Nothing but the thought has came to my mind: building satellite building satellite building satellite building satellite building satellite ...
Things might go well and I just prepared anything I could during 10 months.
I came back to Vietnam and keep studying the last semester. Until this moments, the thesis is already registerd. I had not thought that I would make a diary like this though from July, officially I launched my work but until December, I kept wirting project diary. The following things is stuffs I had done during the this time:
Until now, I have:
I am drawing circuit for bearing - 1st one ever with the frame of BB
I am waiting for the new reation wheels
I am waiting for the AHRS
First image about the Bdot controller
I decided to change from DC motor to the brushless so that more torque can be produced. Check these fallen guys.
I am printting 4 arm for the AB and wating for the circuit from the manufacturer -> soldering and let's put some code.
About the cage: I am also make the adapter for 2 power supplies and simply route the main board (the cage drivers) and modify the big electric box.
Last day in year. I have printed out some new name tags for the electric box. Now I am on my way to home and come back in several days (Jan 4th maybe). Happy new year ^^
I received boards from manufacturers and soldered them (cage driver and reaction wheels algorithm demos)
Finish hardware part of Helmholtz cage (wiring and mechanical), it is coding time... (argggg). Gosh, the wiring is crazy, I am not sure about the BTS driver, must have some thing to check them working. The box is perfect working now because of Janpanese quality. I worry about the noise (between wires together). Estimated time to create the earth magnetic field simulation about 1 week.
Oops, I forgot the wheels. I replaced all them by brushless motor. They look cool and nice torque obseverd.
I have just came back from Tet's holiday. It took me about one month doing nothing as well. Before I left Sai Go, I realised that the POM wheels do not work as I expect, they vibreate like crazy because of not being uniform at all. Reasons may come from the material and processing. So, I decided to change to CNC all the wheels.
Moreover, also made 3 small reaction wheels for the real cubesat. They are full CNC with dimenson of 40x40x40., they are easily distributed in a circuit. The wheels are copper attached with brushless motors inside. 3 of them reached nearly 1 kilogram and a half.
Now, I forced myself in doing software (base code) for the balancing air bearing. Despite feeling boring, I loose my motivation and enthusiasm working hard. Hope that this toxic will go soon.
It was a so long time I have not written anything here. Just 2 minutes about that time. I had a job in February 24th, that is about the Makerspace and Acadamic teaching at an international school. Acttually, during this time, I also do some little things, day by day but I did not list them down all. This is what they are:
Anyway, photos speak:
And this is my first step in XY plane and Z stabilization (so proud of):
