How did we start?

In 1995 the members of the Beaver Bank Awareness Association were instrumental in inviting the RCMP to open a Community Office in Beaver Bank, manned by volunteers (16 applied at that time). In the office is a plaque acknowledging 20 years of continual RCMP service. Unfortunately, due to policy changes, and the escalation of computerization, the tasks performed at that Office have dwindled, as has the number of volunteers (presently 6 members having a combined number of volunteer years totaling 102).
