Bbc Iplayer Download Failed

Anyway, Firefox launches BBC IPlayer download no problem and now (100% in the last few days) I almost immediately get "Media Selector failed" which is a meaningless error message, well done Beeb. Doesn't matter if I try HD or SD.

I contacted Vypr support and it was the usual bumpf about upgrade to latest version blah blah. I am reluctant to swap VPN providers until I KNOW another VPN is working. I tried installing Express VPN which failed, then found they had already taken $100 off me! (They promise a refund in 5-7 working days).

For the last 24 hours I've been unable to download any programmes from the BBC. I can 'live stream' programmes, which indicates that my VPN is working normally but any programme that I try to download comes back with a message saying 'DRM License failed'

Just updated my wifi to fibre, now can't get any programmes to play on iplayer...just get this message: 'internet download failed because content size exceeded memory limit'. TV is Sony Bravia KDL-32W705C. It worked OK before, Netflix still works fine.

I have tried all the steps outlined by Jennifer in her reply and unfortunately none of them have resolved the issue. I am unable to watch anything on bbc iplayer without the image flashing black periodically. This ruined the world cup for me and is now ruining Happy Valley!

One suggestion that did work was lowering the resolution in iplayer to standard definition. This stops the flashing for me but as I said in my reply to Iplayer I didn't buy a 4k tv to watch content in standard definition!

Thought I'd do a complete factory reset to clear out any old data. The box failed to reinstall its own software and apps - reporting a -4 failure to load error. Seemed to be related to a poor or failed connection. Odd as I have 77 mbps fibre and very strong wifi.

I can view bbc tv on iplayer out of uk on my pc but i cannot use my Samsung tablet. Any way around this problem?

I know bbc require using android greater than 4.1 which I do but still am not able to connect. Tablet was working on

november but not now. Will I have togive upon my tablet or just use my pc?

there is no web ui for this image, you simply define the shows you want via the env var value for key "SHOWS" with a comma to seperate the list and get-iplayer then monitors and downloads any matching shows.

you dont need to putty in, all you need to do is edit the container and define the shows you want to download by setting the value for env var "SHOWS" (comma separated) get_iplayer is run for you inside the container and will search and download any shows that match the values.

i bought your vpn service a couple months ago, it used to connect to bbc iplayer fine but no longer does. has bbc blocked your ip addresses? if so, this is a major disappointment. one of the primary reasons i bought it was for this purpose, as you advertised that you have a reliable service for this purpose.

BBC iPlayer has been working well over the passed 11 months, but a couple of weeks ago it failed to work. I have done what has been suggested but to no avail. I agree that the BBC have probably realised a VPN is being used and thus blocked it. Perhaps having another VPN address available would sort it. However, as my main reason for using Bitdefender VPN was to view BBC, without that being possible, I will not be renewing my membership. Perhaps another company may be better, subject to cost!

Unfortunately I too have begun having problems with Bitdefender's VPN. It has been working prior, but the last 2 days it has not been. The BBC iplayer loads and functions without the VPN active, but enabling the VPN cause the webpage not to load. I used Hotspot Shield to test if it was anything else but the VPN, and I got through as usual using thier service.

The TiVo has an in-built internet connection, and if all your online functionality is failing there's a good chance that's what's failed. On the front-left of your TiVo are a series of green lights - check the one with the heartbeat symbol, is it flashing? The onboard modem has failed if so.

RESULT - only 1 DNS server appears in the leak test with an IP of 185 16.205.3 which i believe belongs to NordVPN and has a similar IP as my assigned and dedicated IP from NordVPN (185.16.205.xx). BBC iplayer works in the UK

@jaguarsglyph @KING0FMYHEARTS i don't have access to a vpn so i can't watch through iplayer so ill have to watch on some site without subtitles but it's fine bc i know exactly what happens at what time i won't have any problems

Very likely, but remember that the Humax box is not a FTA satellite box but a UK Freesat box. Freesat undoubtedly have an agreement with their EPG members (the broadcasters) that they will not "leak" channels outside of the UK. So why would they support a VPN connection. You might try a DNS service provider who will allocate you a UK address. You will need a special router to support that. I'm not up to speed on the details of that but I know of users in Germany employing this method where a VPN failed.

Up until yesterday (4th Jun) bbc iplayer had a subtitles icon and subtitles could be switched on/off using it. Today, the icon has vanished from the Brave iplayer (win 10) and subtitles no longer seem to be available. I have checked iplayer in chrome and the icon and availability of subtitles is there as usual. I am puzzled! Is there a setting somewhere that has been accidentally reset? Has an update to win 10 broken something (though the subtitles still work in chrome). Any suggestions?

I have a Samsung UE40ES8000 smart TV. Suddenly the iplayer, that starts up fine, will not let me select the episode from the available choices. When I get to this stage none of the arrows up or down or left to right work. I have checked tv for software and it is all up to date.
